To seek direct admission for the BTech in CSE (Big Data Analytics) (CSDA) course at NSUT (East Campus), the eligibility criteria are:
1. The candidate should have passed the Senior School Certificate Examination (12-year 10+2 course) of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, or any other examination recognised as equivalent to the Senior School Certificate Examination of the CBSE.
2. The candidate should have a valid JEE (Main) - 2023 Paper-I score.
3. The candidate should meet the minimum marks criteria in the qualifying examination as specified by the institution.
4. The candidate should be a Resident Indian National belonging to either the Delhi region or outside Delhi region, with 85% of seats earmarked for Delhi region candidates and 15% for outside Delhi region candidates.

Admission criteria for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering (Big Data Analytics) (CSDA) at NSUT (East Campus) for reserved category students includes:
- Seat Conversion Rules: After exhausting the complete list of registered candidates in PD and CW subcategories, remaining vacant seats in these subcategories will be transferred to respective main category (GEN/SC/ST/OBC/EWS).
- Bonus Points: Candidates belonging to certain categories such as Single Girl Child, Kashmiri Migrants, and Sports quota are eligible for bonus points.
- Reservation: 85% of seats are reserved for Delhi Region Candidates and 15% for Outside Delhi Region Candidates.
- Qualifying Examination: Candidates must have passed the qualifying examination with minimum marks as specified by the institution.

The BBA (B.B.A.) eligibility criteria differ for the reserved category candidates at DTU East Delhi Campus. The reservations of the seats for SC/ST/OBC/EWS and sub categories Defence/ PWD are as per the norms.
Category & Subcategory:
a. Scheduled Caste (SC): 15% of the total seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste candidates.
b. Scheduled Tribe (ST): 7.5% of the total seats are reserved for Scheduled Tribe candidates.
c. Other Backward Class (OBC- NCL): 27% of the total seats are reserved for Other Backward Class (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates.
d. Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 10% of the total seats are reserved for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates.
Candidates applying for any reserved seat must produce the original certificates (as applicable) at the time of document verification.
i) Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST) /Other Backward Class (OBCNCL)/Economically Weaker Section (EWS): For admission to a seat reserved for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Class (NCL)/ Economically Weaker Section (EWS), candidate must produce a certificate, in original, issued from an approved district authority stating the Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/ Other Backward Class (NCL)/ Economically Weaker Section (EWS), to which he/she belongs.
ii) Defence (CW) Sub-category: The seats under this sub-category are reserved for the dependents of Defence personnel. The candidate must produce a certificate, in original, issued from an approved authority stating that his/her father/mother is a Defence personnel.
iii) Persons with Disability (PD) Sub-category: The seats under this sub-category are reserved for the candidates with minimum 40% disability. The candidate must produce a certificate, in original, issued from an approved authority stating that he/she has minimum 40% disability.
iv) Kashmiri Migrant (KM) Supernumerary: One seat in each course over and above the normal intake is reserved for Kashmiri Migrant candidate who has passed 10+2 from schools located in NCT of Delhi.
v) Single Girl (SG) Child Supernumerary: One seat in each course over and above the normal intake is reserved for single girl child candidate who has passed 10+2 from schools located in NCT of Delhi.

For reserved category students, the admission criteria for BTech in ECE (AI & ML) at NSUT (East Campus) is as follows:
- Scheduled Caste (SC): 15% of the total seats are reserved, with a minimum mark of 50% in the qualifying examination.
- Scheduled Tribe (ST): 7.5% of the total seats are reserved, with a minimum mark of 50% in the qualifying examination.
- Other Backward Class (OBC): 27% of the total seats are reserved, with a minimum mark of 55% in the qualifying examination.
- Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 10% of the total seats are reserved.
- Persons with Disabilities (PD): 5% of the total seats in each category are reserved, with a minimum mark of 50% in the qualifying examination.
- Defence (CW): Seats are reserved, with a minimum mark of 55% in the qualifying examination.
