The GIBS Business School faculty possess a diverse combination of both academic achievement and experience in a variety of industries that enhances learning and gives it practical applicability. Many of the core and full-time faculty have earned advanced degrees (Ph.D.; MBA; PGDM; M.Phil.; or master's degree) from distinguished universities and management schools as well as spending time at some of the world's the finest institutions, such as the IIMs and NITs. In addition, a number of the professors have had extensive teaching and professional experience — typically between 10 and 30 years, with a focus on roles in marketing, finance, analytics, HR, strategy, entrepreneurship, etc., therefore providing a connection between theoretical concepts and application in the market. The faculty also works closely with visiting faculty, international trainers and guest speakers who are CEOs, CXOs or owners of their companies, which provides another dimension to the education being offered by offering real-time business expertise and practical information for implementation in the marketplace. Overall, faculty members connect academic research with industry experience, allowing students to benefit from both theoretical and practical perspectives of learning.
