One of the best medical colleges in Karnataka.
Placements: This college is one of the best medical colleges in Karnataka. Every year, 150 doctors graduate from this college after completing one year of internship. The internship comes with a stipend of thirty thousand rupees, which is pretty good compared to other colleges across India.
Infrastructure: Institute is spread across 58 acres, which is pretty good for a medical college. All the laboratories are highly equipped with all the equipment. Dissection is practiced in the first year with 25 students per dissection table. All the necessary practicals are performed. The hostel is also good, with attached washrooms for every room.
Faculty: Teachers are good and dedicated to their work. All the teachers are highly qualified and they help a lot in the first year, especially. The curriculum is followed as given by the National Medical Council. Yearly professional exams are held by the university.
Other: I have chosen this course to serve the community. The best things about it are that it is a noble profession respected all across the country, and events like Ganesh Chaturthi and Kannada Rajyotsava are held every year.

A fast-developing, very good infrastructure, and a peaceful green campus.
Placements: Since it is an MBBS Course, we do not get packages and all here. But I can surely say that the patient outflow of this government college is very good. At present, in Karnataka, this is the fastest developing government medical college. It is because PG's seats filled in this college within 4 years after the college started, which is not possible in any other college.
Infrastructure: The lecture halls in which classes go on have a pure quality with ACs and adequate light sources, and presentation projectors. Telling about the hostel is that it is good. Facilities are also given in the hostel, such as both cold and normal drinking water, and washing machines are available. A gym workout facility is also provided in the hostel itself. The library is very well furnished for studying in peace. Talking about sports and games, the campus provides separate volleyball, football, and cricket grounds. Sports meet events are conducted at least twice a year. Along with the studies, students can refresh their daily mood by developing these as hobbies.
Faculty: GIMS GADAG is well-known and famous for its teaching faculty members. The teaching is really very good and well-versed. The faculty members are also very responsible about their professions and teach well. Especially in the 1st year, the teaching faculty is so good. Like in other colleges, the faculty members here don't waste time and go. They actually teach well, and more than that, they are very kind and show care and concern towards the students. Connectivity becomes good here.
Other: The main good thing about this college is that it has a very peaceful and relaxing campus to walk around. It is full of greenery with fresh air all around. Besides the campus, there are windmills present, which further enhance the quality of the air on campus. The only drawback of this college is that it is situated outside the city, approximately 8 km away. So initially in 1st year, it becomes difficult for students to go and roam around the city corners. But day by day, it will also be nice.

Experiences of a medical in GIMS.
Placements: Generally, MBBS graduated students do not prefer to apply for placement jobs. However, Government Medical Colleges do not provide the placement facility. Speaking about the internship, all the MBBS students are required to complete one full year of internship which includes all the pre-clinical, clinical, and para-clinical subjects. It is compulsory to complete the internships to practice as a professional doctor or to pursue any further degree.
Infrastructure: Classrooms in this college are well maintained with advanced digital access to the projectors. Classrooms are also equipped with air-conditioned (AC) and it is fully functional. All the medicos are provided with 24/7 library facility present on the college campus.
Faculty: All the medical department professors are highly knowledgeable and highly qualified practitioners. Obviously, the teaching quality will be awesome. All the medical college is advised to follow the CBME curriculum which is decided by the NMC- National Medical Commission. Coming to the exams, generally as the medical syllabus is too vast. The exams are not so easy.

It is a good college with best teachers with a large amount of patients.
Placements: MBBS offers good opportunities for employment. At internships, we get to learn a lot of skills using which we can get good jobs. We can open our own clinics after MBBS. During the internship’s period, government pays us a stipend of 30000 rupees. Overall it is a good course.
Infrastructure: Many books are available in the library to read. Labs are well-equipped with the latest equipments. Food is comparatively good in the mess. Canteen is also provided in our campus for the students to buy some extra food. Medical facilities are good in north Karnataka. Sports and events are organized in the campus.
Faculty: In our college, the teachers are highly qualified with postgraduate degrees. They are highly knowledgeable in their subjects. Course curriculum is relevantly easier and more practical oriented. It helps the students to learn everything during the MBBS course. Tests are regularly held in the college to make us prepared for the exams.
Other: My parents are doctors and so I was also interested to become a doctor. The best thing is that MBBS is a lifetime degree. Events are held regularly in the college. Scholarships are provided by the government to empower the students. Extra curricular activities are conducted for the students.

It provides good infrastructure, well-equipped hospital, good teachers, and ample patients.
Placements: It is a government medical college so placements are not good. Students have to work as an intern for a year, and then they can go for the rural service or continue to work as a resident. As an intern, students get Rs 30,000 per month and resident students will earn between Rs 40,000 per month - Rs 45,000 per month. Salary during rural service depends on the location of their duties, and it can vary between Rs 40,000 per month to Rs 60,000 per month.
Infrastructure: In this college, rooms are spacious, well-lit, and well-equipped. The only disadvantage is that students have to share a room with 2 students. Another drawback is that the library also gets full during exams. Classrooms are spacious and air-conditioned. There are 3 hospitals. All are equipped with facilities and many patients are available.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful in this college. It is a government hospital so the patient flow is not an issue, and students will get to see all the cases. Our course curriculum is prescribed by RGUHS, and semester exams are set by this university. The pass percentage is around 90%.
Other: Our campus life is good. This college is located in tourist hotspots, and students can plan great overnight trips.

Good quality of education and limited cultural activities.
Placements: There are 150 MBBS seats here. During the internship, we will receive a stipend of Rs. 30,000 per month. After completing the internship, we can join any college as a tutor and practice. Otherwise, we can do postgraduation. Here post-graduate students get a stipend of Rs. 60,000 per month.
Infrastructure: The campus is spread over 52 acres of land. The college has a central library and computer labs. Classrooms are air-conditioned. The mess food is good and cheap. There is a huge ground named Mahatma Gandhi on campus. Cultural activities are held in the auditorium.
Faculty: Teachers here are very knowledgeable. HODs and professors completed their Ph.Ds in their subjects. They prepare us for the NEET PG exam and conduct it. Faculty members are very friendly compared to other colleges. The teaching quality is very good at RGUHS University. There is a 100% result in exams.
Other: Doing MBBS is my dream and that of my parents. Only a few cultural activities are done here. Therefore, more cultural activities should be held here. The campus is located 5 kilometres away from Gadag City. There is a very good environment here. SSP scholarships are available for OBC students. Every year, a student gets a scholarship of Rs. 60,000. CME is conducted by professors.
