B.Sc. (Paint Technology) - Batch of 2027

Review of Garware Institute of Career Education and Development.
Placements: 60% of students had a plan to pursue this course. Packages offered are 3 LPA-6 LPA, depending upon students and some of them have even got higher. Recruiting companies are Asian Paints, Nerolac, and Berger. 100% of students got internships in 3rd sem for 3 months and in 6th sem for 3 months.
Infrastructure: We have a separate paint lab where we test and make paints and see certain parameters for manufacturing paints. We don't have a hostel specific to our college but there are hostels of Mumbai University. The food quality is very good and at a moderate price. We have a hospital in university and we get medical facilities free by showing a college ID card. There are events conducted not daily but 3 or 4 in a year.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and have an experience of 10-15 years in the paint industry. They do their best to provide knowledge about their specific field. Course is skill-based and everything we learn is about the industry and makes a student ready for work 9-5 and establish their own business. Passing percentage is 80% as we have to score at least 50% in semester exams. Exams are not very hard.

Infrastructure: GICED's infrastructure reflects a blend of tradition and modernity. While some facilities are well maintained, there's room for improvement in terms of upgrading technology, expanding resources, and enhancing overall accessibility to create an optimal learning environment.
Faculty: 1) The course is very beneficial and complies with the current industrial requirements. 2) The course is very much relevant. 3) Faculty members are highly qualified and knowledgeable, which helps us understand various concepts. 4) Semester exams are quite challenging as they groom us from the start, which will definitely help us in the future.
Other: I chose this course as I have a keen interest in projecting our environment, sustainability, EHS, industrial hygiene, green skills, etc. The best thing about it, of course, is that it's very unique and in high demand in various industrial sectors. It has the best placements.
Placements: They are offering the best organisations for placements. I just completed my 1-year internship with Pantaloons Aditya Birla store. They are taking Rs. 5000 for placement as the money that we invested to get a better feel.
Infrastructure: They don't have Wi-Fi for students. It is only for faculty members who work over there. It's great.
Faculty: Faculty members are so polite to talk with them and learn with them. Our course coordinator and the other subject teachers are all great. They give good examples while teaching.
Other: They have the best campus ambiance. The passing out students are also suggested to do something here and get your future bright.
