The PGDM programme at GIBS Business School is unique in its focus on practical learning and industry driven methods rather than theory alone. The programme provides dual specialisations so that students can study core areas of Marketing, Finance, HR or Operations and combine them with emerging fields such as Business Analytics, AI, Digital Marketing or International Business. Integration of live industry projects, hands-on learning through fieldwork, internships, corporate visits and case-based learning occur during all four years of the PGDM, meaning students have early real world exposure. Additional initiatives such as the IRE School (Innovation, Research & Entrepreneurship), CEO talks on a regular basis, mentoring from alumni and skill-building workshops provide students with opportunities to develop leadership, communication and problem-solving skills. The PGDM at GIBS also has strong placement support along with personality development and global exposure opportunities; therefore, students completing the PGDM programme will be job-ready and prepared to become future leaders. Because of these factors, GIBS's management programme is different than other traditional management programs.

The GIBS Business School provides students with significant exposure to various industries in order to prepare them for final placement success and create job readiness, confidence, and alignment with the industry. From the outset of their programs, students are exposed to live projects within companies across multiple sectors through industry-related work experiences, field experiences, internships, case studies, etc. In addition to these experiential learning methods, GIBS students are able to listen to guest speakers from different industries, participate in corporate visits and talks, get to meet with alumni, and learn about current market conditions and what employers are looking for in successful candidates. Students also take part in initiatives like IRE (Innovation, Research & Entrepreneurship) and attend workshop sessions focused on developing specific skills to add to their portfolio of experience. When it is time for each student to go into final placements, they will have practical experience, impressive resumes, reliable specialised knowledge, and the confidence necessary to interview successfully with prospective employers. All of these items will help them become more appealing candidates for employment and significantly increase the likelihood of receiving a job offer.

When it comes to preparing for graduation, students at GIBS receive job placement training from day 1 rather than waiting until their last semester. GIBS has developed a continuous placement training model where students receive ongoing training in soft skills such as Communication, Resume Building, Interviewing Skills and Business Etiquette along with academic classes. As a result of extensive industry experience through Live Projects, Internships, Corporate Presentations, Industrial Visits and the IRE Program, students gain hands-on experience prior to being placed in full-time employment. The Faculty Mentors and dedicated Placement Staff provide individualised support based on the student's strengths and area of specialisation; therefore, GIBS places students in Roles that fit their skills rather than in Random Roles. Students arrive at their final placements industry-ready. Recruiters view these students as industry-ready and confident when recruiting; therefore, they view GIBS as compared with other Business Schools, as providing a continual stream of qualified candidates and a strong connection with Recruiters.

GIBS is unique among standard MBA universities by focusing more on real-world experiences and application-based education instead of just theory and lectures in class.GIBS is not just about exams and lectures. They place a strong emphasis on actual projects, internships, site visits to companies, industry speakers, international exposure (IRE), skill certifications, and continuous placement assistance starting from Year 1! Students also receive training in communication, leadership, personal development, and interview preparation skills during class time. Most traditional MBA institutions only teach students how to do these things at the very end of their program. With a strong faculty mentoring program, access to industry contacts, entrepreneurial assistance, and a results-driven placement process, GIBS prepares its graduates with all the tools necessary to succeed in their corporate careers, as opposed to simply providing students with a diploma. therefore making GIBS's educational programme dynamic, career-oriented, and providing students with an education that is future-ready.

GIBS will assist with getting students into job positions that match their specialisation through academic planning, industry exposure and career support, rather than a generic model of job placement. From the beginning, students work with faculty and the placement centre to explore what their interests and career goals are (for example marketing, finance, HR, analytics, operations or entrepreneurship) and develop the appropriate skill sets and opportunities related to those interests.Specialisation Program: All courses have been designed to meet each major's criteria with real-life examples and projects, as well as assessments to develop skills in your area of expertise.Skill Development Workshops: Ongoing workshops are offered to improve students' abilities in the respective areas of expertise, with certification opportunities (example: digital marketing, financial modelling or HR analytics), which enhance students' profiles.Industry Interactions and Guest Speakers: Industry experts will provide guest lectures, mentorship and networking opportunities to provide students with valuable insight into their industries, so that they can align their learning with expectations of the industry.Internships and Live Projects: Students have the opportunity to experience internships in their field of study and gain valuable work experience and develop strong resumes for full-time employment.Personalized Placement Support: The placement cell offers mock interviews, resume reviews, and coaching for specific companies to help students prepare for the role in which they will work.Businesses Connect: Recruiters/Educators have a connection to help students pursuing a specific domain (e.g., research analyst, financial consultant, HR executive) have the opportunity to apply for positions suited to great career paths. Both these initiatives offer students the chance to have a deep understanding of their major and be connected with a greater number of recruiters that value a transition to those disciplines and improve the likelihood of obtaining connected employment.

The Graduate Institute of Business Studies (GIBS) has a comprehensive training programme that equips students with the skills necessary to succeed in placement interviews and assessments. The training begins at the beginning of the Shortened Completion Programme (SCP) and follows a step-by-step approach.During the SCP, students complete regular aptitude training in quantitative ability, logical reasoning, and verbal skills. This type of training includes the completion of mock assessments designed to replicate real-life company assessments. In addition, GIBS conducts mock interviews, group discussions, and personal interview practice. Faculty and industry experts provide feedback to improve students' confidence and ability to communicate during the interview process.GIBS's Placement Team works closely with each student to assist them in building an effective resume, aligning their work profile with their career aspirations, and preparing for HR-type interview questions. Each student learns to recognise their own strengths and how to articulate their career path based on their specialisation. In addition to these components, GIBS also provides technical and professional development through the process of providing students with soft-skills training, attending personality development sessions, and attending corporate etiquette workshops so that they will be interview-ready for final placements.
