GNIMS Mumbai Admission 2025: Eligibility, Selection Criteria & Dates

GNIMS Mumbai admissions are entrance-based. Candidates need to qualify national or state-level entrance exams to get admission. Below is course-wise entrance exam for GNIMS:

GNIMS Mumbai offers courses at UG, PG and doctoral levels. The institute offers the programmes in affiliation with the University of Mumbai. The Management institute offers PGDM, MMS, BCA, BBA, MCA, etc. Candidates who have completed Class 12 can apply for any of the UG courses. Aspirants need to complete their graduation to apply for a PG course at GNIMS.

Candidates need to submit specified documents at the time of admission for PGDM course. Below are the marksheet and other documents required for GNIMS PGDM:

• SSC marksheet and passing certificate
• HSC marksheet and passing certificate 
• Graduation marksheet for all semesters and passing certificate
• Domicil Certificate
• Transfer Certificate
• Migration Certificate (if applicable)
• Eligibility Certificate (if applicable)
• Aadhaar Card copy

The fees of various course at GNIMS are little bit expensive than other Management Institutions. As an example, Executive MBA/PGDM courses cost around 1.5L- 1.7L .On the otherhand, MMS course costs around 5.2L INR. The Total Tution fees for MBA/PGDM courses in GNIMS is around INR. 6.6L - 7L.

GNIMS Mumbai accepts several entrance examinations for admission to the MMS course. Moreover, candidates have the choice to select any one of the entrance examinations from the list in which they have secured a higher score. The names of the accepted entrance examinations are as follows: 

• MAH-MBA/MMS-CET
• CAT
• MAT
• XAT
• ATMA
• CMAT

In addition, 15% of the seats are fulfilled by the Common Entrance Test (MAH-MBA/MMS-CET) under All India Quota, and 15% of the seats are fulfilled by the CAT/ MAT under All India Quota. 

CMAT cut offs are not released on a particular date. Since, the NTA does not conduct any counselling or selection process on behalf of the CMAT accepting colleges, there is no one date when the cut offs are released. The NTA announces CMAT result and after that the participating institutes release their CMAT cut offs, MBA Admission criteria individually. The cut offs vary for each college and is determined by the admission cell. The NTA has no role in cut off determination. So, candidates who have appeared for the CMAT exam can check the websites of their target colleges for admission criteria and cut offs. Around  120 Students can do MMS at GNIMS each year. Though there are several rules for getting admission there. Students need to have 50% marks in their graduation degree along with the  vald  score in any Management exams like GMAT, XAT, CMAT etc. 

   Therefore, 45% seats are reserved for SC, ST, OBC & PWD Candidates for MMS at GNIMS.

The Guru Nanak Institute of Management Studies has entrance-based admissions for its MMS programs. The MAH CET score is used by the institute to shortlist of applicants for admission to MMS courses. The institute also accepts CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT and ATMA for MMS programmes. Additionally, candidates also reserves seat for MMS students, if they take admission on the basis of their CAT or other some national-based entrance exam. 

CAT is not compulsory for admissions to the MBA course at GNIMS Mumbai. However, it is one of the means/accepted entrance exams that the institute considers for admissions to the MBA course. Furthermore, apart from the CAT entrance exam, GNIMS Mumbai accepts valid CMAT/ MAT/ ATMA/ MAH CET entrance exams. However, the 15% All India Quota Seats will be filled through CAT. 

The information about seat reservation for the MMS course at GNIMS Mumbai is not explicitly mentioned on the official website of the institute. However, the seats are reserved for the candidates who have secured a valid score in CAT/MAT or MAH-MBA/MMS-CET. The fee for MMS (Master of Management Studies) at GNIMS - Guru Nanak Institute of Management Studies is Rs. 3,46,000 annually. The MMS course is affiliated with the University of Mumbai, approved by AICTE, and accredited by NBA. Candidates seeking admission to the MMS course should be graduates of a minimum of three years duration in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities, with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (45% for candidates of backward class categories and persons with disabilities belonging to Maharashtra State only). 

Candidates are required to attach some of the important documents at the time of filling out the application form, and they are required to submit some of the documents in the original form or in hard copy at the time of document verification at GNIMS Mumbai. Some of the important documents are as follows: 

• Mark sheets and passing certificates 

• Entrance exam scorecard

• Transfer Certificate/College Leaving Certificate

• Character Certificate

• Domicile Certificate (for Maharashtra State candidates).

• Migration Certificate (for candidates from universities other than the University of Mumbai)

• Provisional Eligibility Certificate from the University of Mumbai (for graduates from other universities).?

• Passport-size photographs (two copies).
