MAT 2025 CBT is two days away and it is time make a checklist. Candidates appearing for the MAT on June 8, must read this article to know the important guideline and checklist for the exam day. 

MAT exam day instructions

MAT 2025 exam will be conducted in CBT mode at several exam centres across India. Admit card for the MAT May CBT has already been released. Candidates must take print out of their MAT 2025 admit card and go through it. Candidates must check the guidelines mentioned on the hall ticket and prepare a MAT exam day checklist for the do’s and don’ts at the test centres.

This is important because if any candidate is found to be not following the guidelines or is found breaking any rule, they will be barred from taking the MAT 2025 exam. Shiksha brings to you, an exam day checklist for MAT 2025 and important things to remember. 

MAT 2025 Exam Day Checklist and Important Things to Remember

1. MAT Admit Card 2025

Candidates must carry two copies of their MAT admit card to the exam centre. They must also carry a passport size photo. MAT 2025 admit card can be downloaded from the AIMA MAT website until the exam day. Candidates must check that their MAT 2025 admit card has the following information mentioned on it: 

  • Candidate's name
  • Application number and roll number
  • Candidate’s photo and signature
  • Exam mode and timings
  • Exam centre name and location
  • Reporting time
  • Instructions for the exam day

The candidates must present the MAT admit card and photo ID at the entry point to gain entry.

Candidates should check the location of their MAT 2025 exam centre allotted to them (mentioned on the admit card) at least two to three days before the exam date. This will prevent the candidates from getting late for the exam. MAT exam timing is 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM. The entry gates will be closed 30 minutes before the commencement of exam. Candidates must reach the MAT exam centre at the reporting time mentioned in their admit card for a no-hassle entry. 

3. Reporting at the MAT Exam Centre

  • Candidates should report at their allotted MAT exam centres at the exact time mentioned in their admit card for document verification and frisking.
  • The entry to examination hall will begin at least 45 minutes before the exam timing. Follow the instructions of exam centre authorities for seating arrangements, etc.
  • Reporting time will be mentioned in the MAT 2025 admit card. Candidates must reach the examination centre accordingly.
  • Gates will be closed 30 minute before the exam commencement, thus candidates must make sure they reach the MAT test centre on time.

4. Carry One Valid ID Proof

Candidates must carry one photo ID issued by the Government of India along with their admit card for MAT exam. They have to carry original and one photocopy of the photo ID. Given below is the list of photo IDs accepted as valid proof for MAT exam:

  • Aadhaar Card/UID Number
  • Passport
  • Driving License
  • Voter ID card
  • PAN Card

5. Carry a Blue Ball-Point Pen

  • Candidates appearing for MAT exam in PBT or CBT mode are required to carry only a ball-point pen (blue or black).
  • For PBT mode, the exam centre official will give OMR sheet and question paper and the candidates can do the rough work at the space provided on the question paper itself.
  • For CBT mode exam, the invigilator will provide blank sheet for rough work/calculations. The rough sheet has to be returned to the invigilator before exit.

6. Do Not Carry Electronic/Technical Devices

Candidates must not carry electronic items such as mobile phones, earphones/headphones, calculators basic/scientific and wrist watch to the MAT exam centre. These items are prohibited inside the test venue due to security reasons. Bags should be left outside the exam centre. There will be no facility of keeping personal belongings of candidates inside the exam centres, so the candidates are advised to carry only the pen, valid ID proof and copies of MAT 2025 admit card.

Q:   What are the items/documents to carry on the MAT exam day?
A:
On the MAT exam day, PBT and CBT candidates have to visit the examination centre well prepared. Apart from carrying two hard copies of the MAT admit card, they need to also carry a photo ID proof issued by the Government of India. The documents that are included in the list of approve IDs are: 1. Aadhaar Card 2. PAN Card 3. Voter ID Card 4. Passport 5. Driving License 6. University ID Candidates have to carry the original copy of any of these IDs to the exam centre for identification process. IBT mode candidates are also required to present any of these IDs for identification to remote proctored mode. Candidates belonging to PwD category have to carry PwD and scribe certificates too on the exam day. Any candidate suffering from any medical condition which requires them to eat or have medicine during the exam, has to carry a Certificate regarding the same issued by a competent authority. Apart from the documents, candidate are required to carry blue/black ball point pen for signing the attendance sheet and filling the OMR sheet (PBT mode). No other stationary item will be allowed inside the MAT exam centre.
Q:   How will I know about MAT GD/PI schedule?
A:
The MBA institute will send Group Discussion GD and Personal Interview . PI letter to each candidate who had selected the institute in MAT application form upon their selection based on MAT cut offs. The candidate should keep checking their email ID mentioned in MAT application form. The letters/emails have GD/PI dates, time and venue mentioned on it along with other details related to the GD/PI process. If a candidate wishes to apply at college other than the ones they had selected in the MAT form, then they should visit the website of their desired MBA college and check the application schedule. Once they will fill the application form, they will be informed about the GD/PI schedule via email. Candidates must keep handy the MAT admit card, MAT scorecard, academic certificates, passport size colored photographs, original and requisite fee amount for admission on the day of Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
Q:   Are MAT test cities same for CBT and PBT?
A:

MAT test cities are not same for CBT and PBT. Number of CBT test cities is more than PBT test cities. CBT and PBT test cities are listed below:
