Review of Government College of Engineering and Research, Avasari Khurd, Pune.
Placements: Placement is 100% for mechanical and automobile departments. All the students are placed with good packages of the 2025 batch. Highest salary package is 7.5 LPA for mechanical engineering, and also instrumentation and control Engineering is a very good branch.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good. Hostel is very good. Classrooms are also very good. Library is also very good. Classrooms are equipped with projectors, and the quality of food in the mess is also very good. Medical facilities are also nearby, and sports are available.
Faculty: Faculty is very supportive, and they also support you for placement drive. Also, curriculum is as per industry standards. And the semester exams are also not that hard. Pass percentage is also 80-90%. All are passed with good CGPAs and are rank holders.
Other: I have chosen this course because I have an interest in design.

This college is excellent and offers a wide variety of sports activities at the state level.
Placements: Recently, 85% of students were placed, with the highest package being 7.5 lakh and the lowest at 2.5 lakh. The top recruiters include Tata Motors, Adani, Reliance, Honeywell, and Wipro. Most students secure internships in their third year, as it is compulsory. The top roles offered are graduate engineer trainee, project manager, assistant manager, and software developer.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is well maintained, with equipment available for every computer. Each floor has high-speed Wi-Fi, and classrooms are equipped with projectors. There is also a library with separate reading compartments, which provides free study materials both in the library and online, along with dedicated computers. The hostels are well-maintained, and the warden is strict, ensuring that no one misbehaves. The canteen food is great, and sports and games competitions are held annually between different branches.
Faculty: The teaching staff consists of well-educated and knowledgeable government employees. Their teaching style is friendly and includes plenty of practical examples. The course curriculum is relevant to its respective branches, and each subject serves a useful purpose for future career opportunities. There are two major exams per semester: the first is the internal assessment, for which there is no passing criterion, but scoring 12 out of 30 is considered a pass. The final assessment criteria depend on the internal marks; students must achieve a combined total of 40 marks, with a minimum of 28 marks coming from the final exam.
Other: I chose this college because it is a government institution with numerous facilities.

Placement issues, but a value-for-money college.
Placements: In Computer Engineering, placement is comparatively less than in other branches. For the 2025 batch, around 50% of students are placed with an average package of 4 to 5 LPA. The highest package is around 7 LPA, while the lowest goes to around 2.4 LPA, so there is a huge need for improvement in the placement scenario, at least for the Computer Engineering branch. Most candidates are hired by the MNC LTI Mindtree, while a few are hired by Cognizant and some startups. A few students grabbed internship opportunities in the third year of study.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure provided is decent, with the college having multiple sections according to branches, a library, and official workspaces. Wi-Fi is available at some locations. Facilities at labs and the library are decent. Hostel living rooms are good and low-priced. The mess has many issues related to food quality.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, but a few of them lack teaching quality. The course curriculum is not very relevant to the knowledge actually required for making students industry-ready. Exams in the college are not very difficult, but supervision is properly conducted to avoid cheating. A minimum of 40 credits is required to proceed to the next year.
Other: The college can improve the campus placement scenario by reaching out and tying with companies and providing them with the required qualifications. The college should improve this appropriately.

All about government college Pune .
Placements: 50-60 percent of students get placed. For ENTC and Instrumentation, placement is more compared to other branches. EMERSON, BEL, ADANI, and TATA-like companies offer placements. Last year, for ENTC 11 LPA was the highest package given by BEL COMPANY. Students take internships from ARAI, Microsoft, and TCS-like companies.
Infrastructure: The college campus is very big. Also, infrastructure is good. Hostel is affordable, but food quality is poor. Hostel fee is 1150 per year. For girls, the hostel is good and safe. Each department has a Wi-Fi connection. Classrooms are good, but they don't have smart boards.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are IIT graduates and Ph.D. holders. Mainly, our ENTC faculty members are very supportive compared to other branches. As our college is under SPPU, the university course curriculum is somehow outdated. There are a total 8 semesters; each semester has two exams, Insem and Endsem.
Other: I chose this course because my interest is in electronics. Also, this college has a lower fee structure. The campus surrounding it is good. Also, every year, a college fest is conducted.

Satisfied with the management and faculty of this college.
Placements: At our college, 30-35% of the students get placed in this course. The average package offered in this course was between 2-5 LPA. Top recruiting companies for this course were Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki, Rather, Mahindra, etc. At this college, no students get internships.
Infrastructure: The college has decent infrastructure for our course. College management was offering all the necessary facilities to its students in our course. Our college campus was quite big. The college also has hostel facilities for its students. The college canteen and hostel mess food were good to eat.
Faculty: The college had well-qualified and knowledgeable faculty for our course. Teachers at the college were helpful and supportive to the students. Students were getting proper theoretical and practical knowledge at this college. The course curriculum of this college was relevant and makes the students industry-ready. Exams at the college were not hard to pass in our course.

Placements: Placements are promising, with recruiters like Volkswagen, Thermax, and TCS visiting the campus. The average salary packages range from 3.5-10.5 LPA. The college emphasizes internships and practical exposure through industrial collaborations.
Infrastructure: Hostel offers affordable and comfortable accommodation, with fees around Rs. 1,500 per year. Rooms are shared by four students and equipped with essential amenities such as beds, study tables, and chairs. Hostel has an on-campus mess with reasonably priced food (Rs. 1,500 per month), although the quality is average. Students also have access to recreational spaces and libraries, creating a conducive living and learning environment.
Faculty: College follows a structured academic syllabus based on the guidelines of Savitribai Phule Pune University.
