BDS - Bachelor of Dental Surgery - Batch of 2029

Infrastructure: Boys hostel is near the college. Girls hostel is also near the college. There is no Wi-Fi. Lab and mess are near the college. It has a decent library system and labeled diagram of maxillary sinus surgery. Volleyball ground floor available in the world to me and volleyball ground floor is available.

The infrastructure is still building. Faculty members are good. It has an enjoyable hostel.
Placements: In my class, there are 126 students and some are still preparing for NEET. We have to maintain our attendance to appear in the internal exams. Internships are done in the hospital itself and for placements, we have to pass NEET PG to get into MS.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are alright, and we cannot actually see the board if we sit at the back of the class. 2 buildings are already in construction for bigger classrooms and more rooms. Mess food is alright, and it is neither too spicy nor too hot. If we don't like it, we can order a tiffin.
Faculty: Faculty members like HOD are MBBS pass-outs so they are good. They are helpful only if we go to them. Exams like internal are kind of hard, and not because of questions but of strict checking in 1st year. Many students fail their 1st internal exams and it's alright as long as we do good in our university exams.
Other: Many events are done by seniors so they are good.

BDS - Bachelor of Dental Surgery - Batch of 2028
4.0
It is the best college for dentistry.
Placements: After completing BDS, most GDC students are taking admission in MS, and the ratio of GDC Ahmedabad students in MS is higher, as the environment here is competitive and tough. Most students pursue OMS in PG and prosthodontics. They open their private clinics afterward and earn 12 LPA to 13 LPA yearly, which is above average for a beginner.
Infrastructure: Hostels of Government Dental College and Hospital are among the best in India. Two students are allowed per room. New lecture halls are being created, and the hospital renovation has also started. The college library is open from 9 to 5. Facilities such as a volleyball court, badminton court, table tennis, carrom, chess, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are more than qualified. They all are MS with mind-blowing knowledge about the field. Every year, four exams are conducted, including university exams. The papers are set in such a way that they prepare students for the university exams, helping them clear them easily.
Other: Currently, I am in my second BDS. Events and fests are the life of GDC. Scholarships are provided to SC/ST/OBC students. Every day is celebrated, including Moral Pathology Day.

It is good when it comes to academics.
Placements: As it is a government dental college, they don't provide placements in companies. But, students who graduate from our college are generally more skilled and knowledgeable than students from other colleges in Gujarat. Most students pursue further studies for NEET MS, while others do private practice.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is average right now, and construction is ongoing. A new auditorium and lecture halls will be constructed there. The hospital is good, and the hostel is also good. There is a volleyball court, box cricket, badminton court, gym space, and indoor games like TT, carrom, and chess available.
Faculty: Faculty is good. Some teachers are very passionate about teaching, and the rest are also fine. Since dentistry is skill-based, the faculty also teaches us how to deal with patients in clinics and how to manage our work. They need accuracy and discipline. Some teachers are very strict about their studies.
Other: The cultural fest is organized once a year and includes sports, art, and various talents. Different days are organized, such as prop day, denim day, saree day, etc. The DPL (Dental Premier League) is also organized, with girls and boys participating.

I would suggest that students who want the best experience in this field can opt for this college.
Placements: As this is a government dental college in Gujarat, this college is a top priority for students seeking admission, and the only reason is that it is a civil hospital of Gujarat, and students who pass out from here get first priority. This college also gives a stipend of 20,000 rupees.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is also very good, as the hospital part of our college is under renovation, and other parts, such as the classrooms and laboratories, have been newly renovated. All the practice machineries of the college have been newly replaced.
Faculty: The faculty members of our college are very punctual and strict about their work, that is, they require proper attention from each and every student. Along with that, they prepare our internal exam question papers, while the university paper comes from Gujarat University.

Our college has the best teaching staff, and you can become the best dentist.
Placements: In our batch, around 72% of the students cleared the course. After completing internships, immediately we got a job in private dental clinics with a monthly salary of Rs 30,000-40,000 but some of our colleagues who live in small towns earn approximately Rs 20,000-25,000 per month. Because it is a government college our practice is good so we have some advantage over students who pass out BDS from private college because in private college you got fewer patients and less practice.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi was available from morning 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. There was a huge library with around 3000 books of our course -and post-graduate preparation and for general knowledge. IT also had newspapers like Times of India, Dainik Bhasker, etc. for students to be updated. There were two large classrooms for lectures with a projector and normal board also with a capacity of around 200 students to teach. The main problem was the not availability of canteen on the campus. If we need some snacks, we had to go to the market. Hostel had 4 floors and 125 rooms with general toilet and bathrooms and one small TV room and small indoor room for table tennis. On hostel premises, there was a large ground to play cricket, volleyball, and football. But there were no elevators in the hostels and water was not available frequently in hostel bathrooms.
Faculty: Teachers were excellent, and they all passed the tough exam of GPSC. Practice knowledge of all teachers was good especially oral and maxillofacial surgery department teachers. If we were stuck in any problem tooth extraction, root canal, or suturing, teachers come and guide us. The course curriculum was related and all the basic things we need to learn during our graduation are included in it. So students from this college were perfect doctors and can open a clinic with good earnings. Exams were moderately difficult but practical exams were tuff. They check your basic knowledge in viva voce and your confidence.
Other: I chose this course because it has options like private clinical practice and government jobs, and these both have good salaries or earnings. Things to improve is in our course were to practice in real patients are started from 3rd year onwards which is I think should be started from the second year because students are already confident after the first year. There were many events held in our college. After the admission of the new batch in September, they give a new year party to seniors on 31st December. Every year, in July final year students were given a farewell party. In addition to this, there was a sports week in summer. Garba was played in Navratri, and Ganesh Chaturthi celebration were very good. There was also a camp from Indian Dental Association to participate.
