NCERT Books

The first book that every NEET 2025 aspirant must pick is NCERT books. They not only build the foundation for NEET 2025 preparation but will also come in handy during revisions. NCERT Exemplars are also a must-do for NEET 2025.

A:

The total number of exam cities for NEET 2025 was 566. This year, the total number of NEET exam cities in India was 552. The number of NEET exam cities outside India has remained 14. The number of exam cities in India has decreased by five cities from last year, which was 557.

Q:   When did NTA announce the NEET 2025 date?
A:

The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the NEET 2025 exam date on February 7, 2025. The exam will be conducted on May 4, 2025. Along with the NEET 2025 exam date, NTA has announced the complete schedule of events or the NEET 2025 important dates. The NEET 2025 registration process was conducted from February 7 to March 7, 2025.

Q:   Has NTA removed any city from the NEET 2025 exam city list?
A:

Yes, NTA removed five cities from the NEET 2025 exam city list in India. The total number of NEET 2025 exam cities outside India as remained the same, which is 14. Since NTA limits the state and city choice as per the present address, applicants need not think for long to select the right exam city choices. The five cities, which have been removed from the list are Surampelam (Andhra Pradesh), Deoghar (Madhya Pradesh), Basar (Arunachal Pradesh), Mamit (Mizoram) and Kiphrie (Nagaland).

Previous years’ question papers (Solved)

Many do not consider NEET question papers in the category of study materials. However, the knowledge gained by attempting or referring to the question papers of previous years is precious and cannot be imparted by any other method. Q:   When was the NEET 2025 exam conducted?
A:

The NEET 2025 exam was conducted on May 4, 2025, from 2 PM to 5 PM. NTA announced the exam date through an official notice along with the application form on February 7, 2025. 

Q:   What are the languages in which NEET will be conducted?
A:

NEET will be conducted in 13 languages. Till 2020, NEET was held in 11 languages. NTA increased the number of languages or medium to 13 from 2021 onwards. Malayalam and Punjabi are the latest additions. The list of languages are as follows:

Q:   What is the timing of the NEET examination?
A:

The duration of NEET exam is three hours. The exam will commence at 2 PM and conclude at 5 PM as per the Indian Standard Time (IST). The timing for the international centres varied as per the local timings. NEET is a continuous test with no breaks allowed in between. Candidates needed to report to the exam centre at least one hour prior to the exam timing. Moreover, candidates were not be allowed to leave the exam hall before the stipulated duration as well. This year, the total duration of the exam has been reduced by 20 minutes. Last year, the duration was 200 minutes and the timing was 2 PM to 5.20 PM.

Q:   After I join a college allotted during the Second Round of NEET UG Counseling, can I leave or resign the seat?
A:
Once a candidate joins second round seat allotted in the NEET UG counselling, he/she will not be allowed to vacate from the allotted second round seat. However if candidates are allotted a seat in Second Round and have not joined the college, then he/she can Exit with Forfeiture of security amount. Moreover, the candidates who have joined up to round 2 of AIQ or state quota will not be eligible to participate in the further rounds of AIQ or state quota.
Q:   If I opt to participate in second round of NEET UG counseling, will my allotted seat of first round be cancelled?
A:
In case candidates are not allotted any seat in the second round of the NEET UG counselling, the earlier allotted seat in Round 1 will be retained. However, on up-gradation of a seat in second round, the earlier allotted seat in Round 1 will automatically be cancelled and allotted to another candidate. Therefore, candidates are advised to fill in only higher choices or any other choice which they prefer over the earlier allotted seat, for second round.
