Applicants are evaluated based on GMAT/CAT/XAT/CMAT scores, past academic performance, essays, work experience (if any) and performance in the personal interview. The selection process builds in a criterion that facilitates evaluating each applicant on Academic Abilities, Standardized Test Scores, Rank Holders, Integrity & Ethical Values and Diversity of Background. At Great Lakes, we do not have fixed cut-offs, we try to evaluate candidates in a holistic manner. We consider the complete profile, so while the test scores are important, we emphasize more on selecting well-rounded candidates with a strong overall track record.

As a former Welingkar student (PGDM Full time - 2013 batch), I can throw some light on how the institute is. I will highlight some pluses and minuses about the college and overall what to expect. If you are looking at joining a good b-school, the below is something you should expect from the college as a bare minimum: http://bit.ly/2mEh9nL
Exposure
Internships & Final Placements
Infrastructure
Physical
Tech
Knowledge
Curriculum / Course Options
Intellectual Capital
Brand Name
Fees vs Package
Alumni
Rankings
Other opportunities/facilities
Welingkar also has a AAA committee comprising of 2nd-year students. AAA stands for Acquisition, Application and Assimilation of Knowledge. Students get the opportunity to attend education/management specific seminars (within Mumbai) and then chip in with their ideas on how to improve the education standards of the courses making it more practical based. Dean & Professors are the mentors who review the ideas shared. Overall, I hope I have given you good insights on why Welingkar is a good investment and in general what you should expect from a college. If you get into Welingkar, go for it unless you have a better option at hand. Good luck!

Well GLIM takes students based on their profile. You have an average profile and also the job experience matters I.e in which domain you had an experience. And also, it takes the cream layer since it doesn't have huge strength. Only 95-99%ilers in CMAT that too with an extraordinary profile can make it to GLIM as it also takes students from other entrance exam scores.

You can apply for Welingkar, as it is ranked amongst the top B- Schools and also they provide a lot of opportunities and exposure to the students. Many foreign and Indian companies come for campus placements; also there are a lot of student exchange programs, which provide a global exposure to the students. There is also a Global Citizenship Program, which provides a practical exposure. Students also get to manage a lot of events which gives them an on hand experience of management. Also, Welingkar conducts a selection process which takes into consideration your GDPI scores, your academics and also your percentile. So, a combined score is taken into consideration which would give an entry for the student into the college.

Hey,
Great Lakes consider overall profile for evaluation. Your academic scores are fine. You have a good chance of getting an interview call.
PS : Getting a call also depends on overall pool of applications received.
