For B.Tech, a 10+2 pass with 45% (40% for reserved) in Physics, Math, and one other Science subject is required, along with a valid WBJEE or JEE Main score. Diploma admissions need a 10th pass with 35% and a JEXPO score. For BBA/BCA, admission is generally based on 10+2 marks. GKCEM doesn't prominently offer M.Tech/MBA.

In the 2024 batch, the advertisement provided the maximum package up to 11.13 LPA (Lakhs Per Annum). It has clocked 10.17 LPA in 2023 and 10.4 LPA in 2022. Some resources speak about 2024 35 LPA, however, it can only be referred to as an exception to the rest of the stable data.

Faculty teaches the students with the real world example that give students space to understand the topics. Apart from these colleges provide 100 % placement assistance to students and gives exposure to the corporate world. Every potential students have chance to get placed in top MNCs like TCS, Microsoft, Infosys, etc. College follow zero tolerance policy to make ragging free campus and also college follow all policies that are made by govt. for the betterment of students.

Academically, applicants need to have passed their 10+2 examination from a recognised board with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one from Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, or Computer Application, securing a minimum of 45% aggregate marks (40% for reserved categories). In addition to this, selection is strictly based on the candidate's performance in either the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) or the JEE Main entrance examination.
