Q:   What is the salary of a B.Sc Nurse in a government hospital in India?
A:

The salary of a BSc Nursing in a government hospital in India can vary based on several factors such as experience, location, and the specific hospital or healthcare institution. Salaries are often structured according to government pay scales and can also be influenced by additional allowances and benefits.

  • Entry-Level: INR 25,000 - 35,000 (per month)

  • Senior-Level: INR 60,000 - 1 Lacs (per month)
Q:   Is MSc Nursing a good career?
A:

Yes, because a postgraduate degree in Nursing allows a nurse to work in multispeciality hospitals, private or government healthcare units, academic or research institutes, nursing homes, old-age homes, and the armed services. They can become a nursing educator, staff nurse, nurse assistant, or nursing supervisor.

With many new specialisation streams emerging, there is a demand for qualified nurses who can specialise in these new fields and even teach other students. In India and around the world, there is an ongoing lack of skilled nurses.
