The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), New Delhi has come forward recently for offering a joint certification with IIBF to their members as also the CAIIB holders to make available well qualified candidates to work in the compliance department in banks.

The course primarily seeks to cover the following: Importance of compliance functlon in banks, compliance and organizational benefit, structure and issues in compliance function, various aspects / coverage of compliance in banks, role and functions of compliance.

The certificate course seeks to enable the Company secretaries:

  • To perform the dual role of Company Secretary (Risk Manager) as well as that of the Compliance officer I Chief Compliance officer
  • To ensure observance of applicable statutory provisions contained in various legislations such as Banking Regulation Act, Reserve Bank of India Act, Foreign Exchange Management Act, Prevention of Money Laundering Act etc.

Had very good experience and great faculties.
Learning Experience: The course is curriculum relevant and many activities are conducted online also. The platform was very resourceful and helpful about my carrier. The training experience was very nice.
Placements: The percentage of the students who were placed was 52 percent. Several students got internships in reputed and good companies. The highest package was 6.5 lacs and the lowest package was 2 lacs.
Faculty: The faculties provided for our department are very knowledgeable and qualified. They use different varieties of teaching and personal involvement in activities and lectures. The quality of teaching quality is satisfying.
Course Support: Our course gives much experience and great impact in life. The online skills are very developed after this course. It also helps in personality development and much more about virtual skills.

Review of Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
Placements: The salary package offered ranges between 6 LPA - 8 LPA. Companies that have a turnover of more than ten crores per annum recruit CS students. CS is mandatory in these companies.
Infrastructure: Our college offers so many courses and facilities to students. They offer different types of courses every month. They help their students get easy access to facilities provided by our college which is useful for students.
Faculty: There are 2 groups in executive and 3 groups in professional courses. Semester exams are not much difficult. We must work harder in every phase of life. The pass percentage is approximately 10.15% on every attempt. The pass percentage for the professional level is 4.5%.
Other: I opted for this course to become a good company secretary.

I am averagely satisfied with this college because of market standards.
Placements: Around 10% of students got placed in this course. There were no top recruiting companies for recruitment. The salary package was not decent. The top role offered was secretarial legal.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was good. There was a good library. Auditorium was spacious from regions like Northern, Southern, Western, and Eastern. In each region, there were chapters city-wise. Seminars and webinars were conducted to spread awareness about the latest changes.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Students also opted for private coaching. Few faculty members were good like Deepak Gajrani and Anoop Jain. Semester exams were high, and the result percentage was low.
Other: I wanted to study a professional course, so I opted for this course. This course was based on theory and practical knowledge regarding laws applicable to corporations, LLP, banking, etc.

ICSI was the best institute.
Placements: There are no such criteria for students' academic percentage. If someone has an interest in law, then they can apply for this course. The highest salary package offered is 25 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies of our college are Reliance Industry, Adani, PWC and other MNCs. Articleship is compulsory in our curriculum, but it depends on students whether they want to do their articleship in a company or in CS firm. Students got compliance with various laws and regulations.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was good, but they had a lack of facilities. There is no such library or Wi-Fi, and computer labs are not required in our course. Classrooms were good. The campus did not provide facilities of the hostel, mess, canteen, medical facilities and games.
Faculty: All the faculty members are helpful, well-qualified and knowledgeable in their area of subjects. Teaching quality was good, but they did not deliver a lecture with practical case law or any example. The course curriculum was relevant and useful, and it was helpful in the industry.
