In the last few years, placements were average, but our college is trying to improve it day by day.

B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2027

Good college for B.Tech with scope for growth in placement opportunities.
Placements: In my B.Tech course at Ideal Institute of Engineering, around 60-70% of students from my batch got placed. The highest package offered is around 6 LPA, the lowest is 2.5 LPA, and the average package ranges between 3 LPA to 3.5 LPA. Top recruiters included companies like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, and a few startups and mid-size IT companies. Some students are also placed in core companies depending on their stream (like mechanical or civil). Internship opportunities are provided to about 30-40% of students, mostly in local companies or via virtual internships from platforms like Internshala.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure is fairly good. Classrooms are well-ventilated and equipped with projectors and whiteboards. Wi-Fi is available in academic blocks and the speed is decent. Computer labs are updated with the necessary software, and electronics/mechanical labs are also functional with standard equipment. Library has a good collection of textbooks, reference books, and journals. Hostel facilities are average but manageable. Rooms are shared and come with basic furniture. Mess food is decent in taste and quality, though it could be more hygienic. Canteen offers snacks and meals at a reasonable price. Medical facilities are available.
Faculty: Faculty members at Ideal Institute of Engineering are supportive and knowledgeable. Most of the teachers are well-qualified, and they explain the concepts clearly. Some of them use practical examples and digital tools during lectures which makes learning more engaging. However, a few teachers could improve their teaching methods. B.Tech curriculum follows the MAKAUT guidelines and is moderately aligned with current industry requirements. While it covers core subjects well, additional certification courses or internships are needed to become industry-ready. Semester exams are of moderate difficulty. If you attend classes regularly and prepare well, you can easily pass.
Other: I chose B.Tech because I have always been passionate about technology and problem-solving. The best part of the course is the balance between theoretical knowledge and practical application. Curriculum helps in building a strong foundation in core subjects, and there are opportunities for project-based learning. However, I feel the college could improve in areas like industry exposure, soft skill training, and more placement-focused workshops. More campus recruitment drives and internship tie-ups would really benefit students. College organizes annual fests, tech events, and cultural programs, which are enjoyable and a great way to socialize.

Absolutely satisfied because of the best faculties, placement guidance, and other co-curricular acti
Placements: 97% students got placed in companies like Flipkart, QSpiders, Pentagon Space, TCS, Cognizant, PwC, etc. The highest package offered is 10 LPA. Internship offered from IBM in 3rd year to all students. Top roles which are offered are Software Developer, Data Analyst, etc.
Infrastructure: Good quality labs with computers which were bought the previous month only. Library is available with plenty of books in varying fields and along with journals. Classrooms are very good with smart board facilities. Canteen, massage, and medical facilities are available. Playground is there inside the campus and various outdoor games are also played.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They are friendly and clear doubts 24/7. The course along with several workshops and seminars conducted by the college makes the students industry ready. Semester exams are quite difficult as they are done by MAKAUT. Pass percentage is 92%.
Other: I chose this course for my passion in coding. Events like sports, football and cricket tournaments, fest, etc., are conducted by the student committee every year. Scholarships like SVMCM and BC Roy are available along with the Student Credit Card.

Below-average college, only take admission if you don't have any other option.
Placements: Around 50 students got placed on campus out of around 250 students, with the median package being below 3 LPA. Not even service-based companies like TCS, Wipro come to hire. Most students have to opt for off-campus opportunities. Although, compared to other colleges of its league, placement in core branches like Mechanical and Electrical is great because the college is located in an industrial area.
Infrastructure: The campus has a great gym, playground, swimming pool, and canteen available to students, but the college campus is quite small in comparison. The college has tie-ups with a few PGs available for both girls and boys. We can play football and cricket on the ground during breaks, and there is a water cooler facility (though not that good). The campus is beautiful but very small, and you will struggle with mobile network connectivity due to the location. Also, since we have a TCS ion center where exams are conducted regularly, the jammers cause a huge problem for the students.
Faculty: IIE is under Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, which is infamous for its examination system. The curriculum is similar to that of other well-known universities. Most of the teachers are helpful but not well-qualified (most have done M.Tech, not Ph.D.). Around 90% of teachers are always ready to help, but there are quite a few teachers available for core branches (only 3-4 max). In terms of the examination system, we have only one external exam at the end of the semester conducted by the university, out of a total of 100 marks. Of these, 70 marks are for the written exam, and 30 marks are for internal assessments (combined average marks of attendance and 4 internal examinations named CA1, CA2, CA3, and CA4) for theoretical subjects, and 60 marks for the external practical exam and 40 marks for internal assessments for practical subjects. They also provide extra classes for English, Communication Skills, and C programming to prepare us for the industry, apart from the university syllabus.
Other: Classes are quite hectic. We have WiFi available throughout the college building. The Swami Vivekananda merit-cum-means scholarship, provided by the State Government of West Bengal, is available, along with the BC Roy scholarship (₹10,000 discount on fees per semester) from the 3rd semester onwards. This is provided by the college based on attendance and marks.

My college- Angel or Devil of my life.
Placements: When I joined IIE in 2022, the student who got the highest package was worth INR 3.6 LPA. So from this, we can conclude that if you want placement, do not rely on college; just start preparing all by yourself and try off-campus if you want to get a job. If you talk about my branch, there are many opportunities, and if you are good at coding, you will get some good jobs.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good according to student capacity; we have a library with well-equipped books but for the CSE department, the computer lab is terrible. The computers are very slow; it takes up to 30 minutes just to boost up. After talking with the principal, the management is now upgrading the lab. There is no hostel in the college; it is under construction, although the college will assist you with PG.
Faculty: After joining the college, there were a huge amount of changes in the faculty. The college has appointed many new teachers because all the previous teachers left. But one thing is good: some good teachers have joined the college with more than 10 years of experience. The college follows Makaut University's syllabus. If you do not study, it will be very hard to pass the semester.
Other: For me, I chose this course because there is a high demand for CSE students in the IT industry. The future is based on AI so as a CSE student, you have better opportunities than other branches. College Events: Annual Sports Meet, Annual Cricket Tournament, Carnival, etc. Fest is organized by a year-long graduation student. College Facilities: newly built gym, swimming pool and Wi-Fi with no connection.

Good college. I really liked it.
Placements: 80% students are placed in B.Tech CSE course. The highest package is 2.3 Lacs per annum, and the lowest package is 2 Lacs per annum. Top recruiting company is TCS. 30-40% students get internship from companies such as Flipkart, Amazon etc.
Infrastructure: College facilities are really good. Wi-Fi is very good. Faculty members are also good in my course. Hostel is good. Canteen is really well maintained and hygienic. Sports ground is really big and good.
Faculty: The teachers are really good and helpful. They are qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is really impressive. Semester exams are conducted really well.
Other: In this generation many things are on computer basis. So, I chose this course. The college organises fest every year.

It is good value for money.
Placements: If you are not looking for a job and are thinking about upgrading yourself, then the Ideal Institute of Engineering is the best college for you in the entire world. But if you are looking for a job, then it is not as good as other colleges for you because they provide very bad placements.
Infrastructure: Classrooms, labs, the library, and the canteen are good enough for this price. Hostel life is very good. The quality of food is far better than at other college canteens.
Faculty: Faculty members are good. They always support you and also always understand your problems. Because of genius faculty members, you never feel any pressure from an exam and you always achieve good marks in exams. The best part about faculty members is that they are also teaching life lessons along with our studies.
Other: The fee of admission is very cheap; you get a B.Tech degree for less than the cost of many diploma courses. The placement package they provide is more than the admission package. But keep in mind that the placement package is very small for a B.Tech holder. In terms of ROI, it is the best college.
