It will be difficult to get general category B.Sc. admission at IHM Chennai with a 60% in the 12th grade. You can increase your chances by raising your NCHMCT JEE rank and profile. Students in the reserved group have higher chances. For both the B.Sc. in Culinary Arts and the B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration, the minimum 12th standard percentage required is 60%, and for both, it is 50%.You are therefore ineligible for a B.Sc. in Hospitality with 60%, but not for a Culinary Arts degree. In the past, general category students had to receive at least 65-70% in their 12th grade to be admitted to IHM Chennai's B.Sc. program. The minimum 12th percentage for reserved groups, such as SC, ST, and OBC, is 45–50%. You can therefore apply if you receive a 60%, but admittance will be based on counseling merit.
