Read before you join IHM.

Placements: In the food and beverages class, there are only 7 students, but it is fun. The fee for the course is approximately Rs. 70,000. Most of us get placed in the best companies like Taj, JW, Hyatt, etc. We will all complete our internships by December, and we can all get a job at these hotels only.

Infrastructure: There are three kitchens, two restaurants, two housekeeping labs, one computer lab, and one front office. There is only a boys' hotel, and in the cafeteria, the food is good, and there is only one canteen. We have a basketball court, and once a year, there is a sports day.

Faculty: Teachers are the best, well-experienced with good knowledge. The teaching quality is the best, and teachers are good at their work. This course makes students mentally and physically ready for the hotel industry. The exams are quite easy if you study, but hard if you don't study.

Other: The campus is really good, and the other staff are also good. The campus is clean.

Overall the IHM Gangtok is a good place to study.

Placements: If I talk about placement then I would say that our college got one of the best hotel placements, if I talk about myself I got placed in Oberois Mumbai so the placement was also very good. And almost every student in our class who wanted to work got placed in a good hotel.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi was good, the library have all the books that a student need for this course, sports we have basketball court, we have a table tennis table, the classrooms are huge and spacious, the canteen is also good and serves good quality food proper hygiene is maintained.

Faculty: Yes the teacher are very knowledge specially the teachers like karma sir in 1st year motivated so many of us and inspired many of us to grown in this field as a chef and rest all the teachers are very good and helpful. Our teacher always motivated and supported us in every possible manner.

Other: Yes we all participate in events and fests as it keeps on happening like freshers farewell and sports day etc. Crowd of the campus was good but the hostel does not comes in a seperate campus area so it becomes unsafe for students because any one can enter the hostel.
