Review of IHM Kurukshetra - Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition.

Placements: In our college, approximately 90% of students are placed. The average salary offered is Rs. 20,000 per month. Top recruiting companies like Oberoi Taj, etc., visit our campus. Almost all students get internships at the Oberoi and the Taj. MT programs are offered by companies like McDonald's.

Infrastructure: The hostel facilities are good. Wi-Fi is available. A gym and library are good. Our college provides good infrastructure and facilities. The quality of the food in the mess is average. A canteen is not available on campus. Medical facilities are not available within a radius of approximately 3 kilometers.

Faculty: Our teachers are experienced, helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is relevant. It makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are easy. The pass percentage is 40% for theory exams and 50% for practicals.

Satisfied with the course and I'm an industry-ready candidate now.

Placements: Institute does offer placements but in recent times institute has preferred the retail sector more than the traditional hotel industry as per the course. Campus placement is about 80-90% and the top recruiter is Bikanerwala and the Leela ambiance, Every student has got an internship opportunity from the institution.

Infrastructure: The institute's infrastructure is quite good and has different labs and kitchens from the first year to the third year including Quantity. Food and Kitchen, basic and advanced training restaurant, equipment is well maintained and updated accordingly. Safety and hygiene are maintained strictly in the lab and all rules are followed.

Faculty: Teaching faculty has good experience in teaching and also in the hotel industry, Few professors are even authors of some quite famous books around the world. The course is nice and makes the student industry with all the skills and knowledge. Semester exams are held every 5th month and they are moderate, the viva is strict.

The college was an overall wonderful experience for me.

Placements: The number of students placed was around 70% and the highest package offered was around 3.5 Lacs. Top companies were hyatt. Students were also selected in some other brands as such in great brands but hence the expected jobs were promised and not alloted correctly.

Infrastructure: The facilities was good the college has everything clean and also organised according to the requirements. The practical labs were equipped with all the machinery and essential items but they were not as per the standard of the industry hence some of the products were compromised.

Faculty: Faculty was good and experienced in their specific roles and were helping. Hence the course should be updated as it is quite old. The notes made to teach the students should be changed in some subjects these old notes are used, as the industry is very dynamic in nature.

I am satisfied with the academic and facilities provided by the college.

Placements: Almost 100% of the students from our course get an internship. Second and third-year students have the course curriculum of spending half one semester each in internships that are usually provided by the college. Top recruiting companies like Taj, JP Hotel, Park Inn Hotel, Radisson Blu, etc., visit our college for placements. Mostly roles like cleaning staff, chef staff, waiter job, manager, etc., are offered to the students. Placements depend upon your academic and extracurricular talent. Around 85 companies visit our college for placements and internships.

Infrastructure: The college is surrounded by greenery. Our college provides transport facility. Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms and canteens are well-equipped and have CCTV cameras. Our college provides digital classrooms to make us get knowledge of actual industries. Facilities like hostels, food canteen, medical, sports, etc., are highly maintained and clean. Libraries contain various course books and other encyclopedias related to every stream.

Faculty: Faculty members in our college are excellent. They provide large support to students in getting internships as well in getting placements. They even convey our problems to higher management with efficiency. They always support us in dealing with different subjects. They mainly focus on giving knowledge about the actual hotel's scenario.

Other: I have chosen this course because I used to have an interest in cooking as well as management systems. This course helps me to boost up my confidence and internships of almost 1 year in college helps to enhance the experience. The college also organises various fests, events and extracurricular activities, which provides a different environment to all students. The main drawback I have experienced is the lack of farewell to the seniors.

Absolutely satisfied with infrastructure, academic and extra curricular activities.

Placements: 100% students placed in our college and salary package of maximum is only upto 5-6 LPA. Various hotels like Oberoi, J. W, Taj, Heart ets come for placement every year. Various roles offered in our campus like hotel manager, hotel accountant, chef etc. Although 100% internship also takes place since every second and third year are gone for internships which are placed by campus themselves. They even offer help for those students who are not placed by any chance.

Infrastructure: There are three libraries in our campus which provide huge numbers of course related and other books for study. Although one person can issue 4-5 books at a time. Other facilities like classroom, medical facilities, sports etc. are great as well. Surroundings of campus includes malls, various places to visit in evening and even the campus has CCTV cameras which seems to be good for safety of students.

Faculty: Faculty members are great, helpful and qualified. They help us in various activities other than teaching. Most of the faculty members are Frank with students which helps us to increase our contacts for future. Since, faculty members also teaches us about the actual hotel activities and work that takes place. Course curriculum is also relevant which makes us industry ready.

Other: Campus is maintained with good management. We used to celebrate each festival with fun in our campus. First year students feels suitable due to high valued and sincere crowd. Other events and fests also takes place with involvement of each authority which always makes the event successful.

A good institute with a very good infrastructure and faculty those have good knowledge.

Placements: Has nice placement Maximum students get placed in good properties. Properties like Hyatt, Taj and Chaos were select student for placement. Maximum number of Management Trainne are selected. 100% placement for students. The highest salary offered to candidate is 45k per month.

Infrastructure: Nice infrastructure for students. Separate desk for students. Separate labs for different subjects. For sports there is a nice ground for playing Hostel is also there for students with nice beds almirah and separate beds for students. Library is also there for students.

Faculty: Have good faculty members is the campus. Very helpful for each student. Every faculty has minimum 12 years of experience in teaching line. Faculty also give notes for students to help them in study. They also give knowledge about there industry exposure. This is a useful course for building a career.

Other: Every year there is sports day celebrated for students. Fresher party and farewell party is also organise by institute.
