MHRD Fellowships is a financial assistance for PhD students for a maximum period of five years. PhD students will get INR 37000 as monthly stipend for the first two years at JRF level and then for the next 3 years, they will receive INR 42000 per month at SRF level.
Under the Visvesvaraya PhD scheme for Electronics and IT, students will get a fellowship of INR 38,750 per month during first and second year. After that, they will get INR 43,750 per month till 5th year of PhD. They will also get research contingency grant or INR 1.20 lac per year, as per DIC MeitY, Govt. of India guidelines.
