It is mandatory for students to have a valid JEE Main score for admission to the BTech programme. However, for Delhi-based students, admission to IIIT Delhi BTech CSD and CSSS programmes is done basis of UCEED rank and Class 12 marks, respectively. However, it is still mandatory that the students fulfil the course-specific eligibility criteria. Hence, candidates without a valid JEE score can also take admission to IIIT Delhi BTech CSD and CSSS courses.
IIIT Delhi admit candidates to a few courses without any entrance examination. For example, the institute admits candidates to the BTech CSSS programme based on their performance in Class 12 or an equivalent examination. Moreover, for PG Diploma in Data Science & Artificial Intelligence, aspirants who meet the eligibility criteria are only required to take part in an interview round. Yes, admission to the IIIT Delhi, Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology is possible through JEE Mains as the only entrance exam. Though IIITD also requires students to go through JAC Counselling process as well.
