Is the best college ever and top recommendations for Fashion Designing.
Placements: Last year I got placed with a starting package of 5 LPA after completing my M.Des. I am happy to be financially independent now. IIFD teachers supported me a lot in building a strong portfolio, which helped me clear interviews confidently. This is a very grateful experience for me.
Infrastructure: I completed my course in 2025, and now in 2026, I have a great job and feel proud of my progress. During my time, I stayed at the hostel at FD Block 283, Salt Lake, Sec 3. The institute keeps upgrading its facilities, so the hostel and infrastructure may be even better now.
Faculty: During 2023-2025, exams included practical submissions, live projects, and viva presentations. Faculty members guide every time, and the curriculum focused on skills and creativity. Since it is 2026 now, the institute may have upgraded subjects and teaching methods further.

Best fashion design college. Very professional staff and faculty.
Placements: Top recruiting companies include Zara, Times of India, Raymond, Disney, and many more. Students also get opportunities with boutique labels, fashion brands, and houses, and even international internships in select cases. IIFD has a big name in providing good industry placements.
Infrastructure: The campus is up-to-date and modern. The infrastructure supports a good balance of creativity, comfort, and professionalism. For medical emergencies, there is proper first aid and health room. Food at the hostel is quite good and hygienic, and the taste is acceptable.
Faculty: Faculty at IIFD is helpful and highly qualified. Most of the teachers here have real industry experience, and their guidance goes beyond textbooks. I feel that their curriculum is totally relevant and makes students industry-ready.
Other: College also supports our regular festivals fests, modelling, and social work initiatives. There are also scholarships for deserving and talented students, which is a great help for them.

Fashion-focused learning with strong placements and events.
Placements: I am in 2nd year of my course B.Des 4-year degree program. I have only been listening to my seniors and teachers, who have almost all their students placed this year. Top roles offered include fashion stylist, designer assistant, merchandiser, and even visual branding associate roles.
Infrastructure: I want to say IIFD is the best place to start your journey. The campus is quite modern and full of all the needed amenities. Our department has dedicated fashion labs, pattern-making studios, illustration rooms, and full Wi-Fi-enabled classrooms. The hostel facilities are clean, secure, and comfortable.
Faculty: The pass percentage is quite high, and I feel it's good because the college provides full academic support and feedback before exams. Overall, the environment is very student-friendly. The course curriculum is updated. It covers everything from basic design concepts to advanced topics like fashion marketing, garment construction, draping, and styling.
Other: I'm talking about campus life, they have fashion shows, design exhibitions, festival events, student fest, and many more activities. Overall, the college gives me a vibrant, creative space to grow and build a future in the design industry.

Great fashion exposure and placement opportunities!
Placements: The college offers an excellent learning atmosphere with experienced teachers and updated labs that make every day an exciting journey in fashion education. From what I have seen and based on recent placement results, 97 to 99% of students got placed in fashion design degree courses. I saw that the highest package is 47 LPA and the average package is 11 LPA. Some students even got international placements and reputed fashion house offers, which is really motivating.
Infrastructure: All things are good in our college. Our fashion design department at IIFD Kolkata is very well. Classrooms are modern with good projectors and ACs. Wi-Fi is available which is most necessary in today's education. The fashion studios have proper things like mannequins, draping tools, sewing machines, and mood board areas.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and supportive. They have well qualified and experienced staff and faculty team. The IIFD also gives exposure through fashion shows, internships, and workshops. It helps us become ready for the fashion design industry.

The college is good. Everything is awesome.
Placements: The college has 99% placement with salaries from 8-10 LPA. It partners with major brands, fashion houses, Marks and Spencer, etc. There is a 99 percent internship rate for students every year. Every year, they host fashion shows, which provide a great platform for studies and help students learn about fashion.
Infrastructure: Everything is good. The classrooms have smart boards, Wi-Fi, and we also have our production rooms. The rooms are divided into many parts. In the hostel, we are happy with the facilities; two students share one room, but each room feels like home. Every morning, we receive breakfast. However, the timings for entering the hostel are a bit strict.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified, and the student curriculum is relevant. It prepares students for the industry. It depends on the student how prepared they are for exams; otherwise, the exams are good. We have 6-9 subjects per semester, and all exams are set by the University, which is connected with them.
Other: I chose this course because I want to be in it and start my brand in the future. The studies and events are amazing, and we all truly enjoy participating in extracurricular activities.
