The admission process at IISER Mohali varies depending on the program. For the BS-MS (dual degree) program, candidates can apply through the Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY), JEE Advanced, or the State and Central Boards (SCB) channels. Candidates applying through the SCB channel are required to appear in the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) followed by an interview. For the Integrated Ph.D. program, candidates need to hold a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant stream, and admission is based on a valid score in exams such as JEST (for Physics) and JAM (Mathematical/Chemical/Biological Sciences). The Ph.D. programme requires candidates to have a Master’s degree in the relevant subject with a good academic record and a valid score in exams such as GATE, CSIR or UGC-NET, JEST, GPAT, ICMR-JRF, among others. The application process involves visiting the official website of IISER Mohali, filling in the online application form, and submitting the necessary documents. The selection process includes entrance exams, interviews, and merit-based criteria. It is important for prospective candidates to stay updated with the specific dates and requirements for each programme by visiting the official website of IISER Mohali.

Hello Nishar Ahmed, your query is definitely correct but as far as this institute is concerned, is misplaced. With just 2 or 3 students out of almost 150, is no way statistics can be of help. Just to satisfy you, median package was 6.5L and 8L for previous two years. Hello Nishar Ahmed, it's a very tough query to answer. There are different reasons. Firstly it's an institution where research in basic Science is the motto. This makes it unfit for normal recruiters. Secondly even students do not want to get placed not only after graduation but even after PG as almost every student opts for PhD. This results in very skewed ratio of just handful of students out of more than 100 getting placed. Frankly speaking, no one joins this place for getting job after undergraduate postgraduate or doctoral studies. Research oriented work is preferable to students. Hence many get opportunities to even work abroad as interns. However to give you information about placements and recruiters, I am attaching a link:-https://www.shiksha.com/college/indian-institute-of-science-education-and-research-mohali-22265/admissionBest wishes to you.
