The admission process for the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) program at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay relies on the Joint Entrance Examination Advanced All India Rank (AIR). The allocation of seats to candidates is carried out through the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling rounds. Generally, the closing rank for admission to the CSE program at IIT Bombay falls within the range of 60 to 68.
The JEE Advanced cutoff 2026, meaning the minimum needed to qualify the exam will be released with the result. The minimum qualifying marks is also released with the official infirmation brochure, however, they are changed when the result is announced.

Marks Needed for IIT Bombay CSE Branch

About the IIT Bombay CSE Branch
The Department of CSE at IIT Bombay offers BTech in CSE program with a flexible curriculum that covers both the theoretical foundations of computer science and a wide range of crucial topics in computer systems. The program also includes engineering and science courses at the institute level, as well as subjects in humanities and social sciences.
IIT Bombay CSE department offers various programs. The undergraduate program is a BTech degree, while the BTech Dual-Degree program is a five-year program offering both BTech and MTech degrees. The post-graduate programs are MTech and PhD. Students enrolled in the BTech Dual-Degree program receive both BTech and MTech degrees upon completion of the five-year program.
