A student's overall academic performance over a certain time period, such as a semester or the entire programme, is assessed using the cumulative grade point average (CGPA).A broad explanation of how the CGPA is determined at numerous educational institutions, including NMIT, is provided below:Student performance in each course is grade, and each course in a programme is given a specific amount of credit. Letter grades and their related grade points make up the standard grading system. For instances, A might stand in for a grade point of 10, B might, too, and so on. The official documents or student handbook of NMIT may contains information on the specific grading system they employ. The weight or value of each subject within the curriculum of the programme is indicated by the number of credit it is given. The number of credit typically reflects the time and effort needed to complete the course. The grade point received for each course is multiple by the appropriate number of credit hours to determined the grade point average (GPA). The Semester Grade Point Average (SGPA) is calculated by dividing the total number of credit earned during that semester by the sum of these products. A student's academic success for a particular semester can be determined by their SGPA. The Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) is the sum of each student's individual SGPAs throughout their academic career. It is determined by averaging the semester-by-semester SGPA while taking into account the credit hours for each semester. The cumulative grade point average (CGPA) measure a student's academic progress from the start of their programme to the present.

At NITTE Meenakshi Institute Of Technology, we have hostels for both girls and boys separately inside the campus only. There are PGs also nearby in the radius of 3 to 5 kms for both Men and Women which are good to stay and they are affordable. NMIT offer its own housing options for students. For comprehensive information about the availability of hostels, the amenities, and the application process, it is advise to get in touch with the institute directly or to visit their official website as they share more information. As I stay in College Hostel, when looking for lodgings close to NMIT, it's a good idea to take into account aspects like accessibility to the school, safety, price, the presence of necessary amenities, and feedback from past residents. Additionally, talking to current students or the student welfare office at the school may offer insightful advice about local accommodation that are appropriate. Areas around educational institutions frequently have a number of private hostels and PGs accessible. These accommodation were created expressly to meet the requirements of students. They offer standard services like Wi-Fi, food, laundry, and rooms with furniture. In the vicinity of NMIT, there are a number of well-liked private hostels and PGs. It is advised to check availability and speak with these lodgings directly to learn more about them.Renting a flat or a flat in a nearby residential area is another choice for students. Although it may take more work to find acceptable housing, this alternative gives greater independence and flexibility.

Various vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, as well as options for other dietary preference, are frequently available on the menu.Individual preference and expectations can affect how one feels about the taste and enjoyment of the mess food. While some students might find the cuisine at the colleges mess hall to be sufficient, others could have certain dietary needs or prefer to look into other dining alternatives that are nearby. They also have a dedicated mess menu i.e. what they will keep in a day.
