Department of Acting – A platform to give aspiring actors a jumpstart.

Placements: Almost 70% of students get placed in various fields of the television and film industry. Some are in the theatre industry. Packages range from Rs. 50,000 to 2 LPA. Assamese production houses recruit new actors. Every year, new students get involved in the industry as actors, cinematographers, scriptwriters, dancers, makeup artists, art directors, etc.

Infrastructure: The Acting Department provides a studio for drama with a 100-seat capacity. Editing studio, cameras, lenses, settings, properties, costumes, etc., are available. Digital boards are used for theory and film classes. Classrooms are good, and the environment is very calm for theatre activities.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, skilled, experienced, and well-trained. They teach both theoretically and practically about theatre basics, history, and different lines. The students compete at the national level. Students become fully professional for industry work. Semester exams are not too hard. In every semester, there is a drama to be performed as a practical.

Other: I have a dream to work in the film industry and learn acting through a course. This is the only college in Assam where acting can be studied as a course under Gauhati University. I am now starting to work in the industry, and the course helps me a lot.

Our college infrastructure and environment are excellent.

Placements: It is a decent college located in Jagiroad. More than 80% of students were placed. The salary package offered is 3 LPA to 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Pantaloons, Big Bazar, International Airports, etc., visit our campus. Our teachers help us get placements on better platforms, and we get placement offers every semester.

Infrastructure: Our college has all kinds of facilities available. There are PPT presentations and upgraded labs available. There are many ways to enter college. It is an excellent college.

Faculty: Our teachers are excellent. They are good with students. We don't get kicked out of our college. There are numerous methods for acquiring knowledge.

Other: I chose this course because the retail sector in India is too big, so it is a good opportunity for us to grab knowledge about the retail industry. It is in high demand on the market.
