Jindal School of Design and Architecture BDes Eligibility & Highlights 2026
Jindal School of Design and Architecture BDes is a four-year undergraduate degree course, divided into eight semesters, and offered in full-time mode. However, BDes in Interior Environment, Westminster Pathway at JSDA is offered for the duration of five years, divided into ten semesters. This is a unique five-year (3.5 + 1.5) international UG programme in Interior Design, offering students the option to specialise in Architecture and Environmental Design, Interior Architecture, Event Design and Management, or Interactive Media Practices at the graduate level at UoW.
Another eligibility requirement for this five-year international design course is that candidates must have secured an IELTS band of 6.5 with at least 6.5 in writing and no element below 6.0.
The eligibility criteria required by the institute to get admission into the BDes courses:

- Jindal Creative Aptitude Test (JCAT) or submission of NID/UCEED score.

To get admission into the general BDes course and other offered specialisation available at the Jindal School of Design and Architecture, candidates are not required to appear and score in IELTS. However, for the five-year international design course, candidates must have secured an IELTS band of 6.5 with at least 6.5 in writing and no element below 6.0.
Jindal School of Design and Architecture offers full-time BDes courses in 2 specialisations. Selection of the candidate for this course is done in three rounds:

JSDA BDes application process 2026 is conducted in online mode. Candidates seeking admission are first required to apply by completing the application form to become eligible for admission. For students' reference, each of the stages in the JSDA admission procedure is explained below:
STEP 1: JSDA BDes Application Process 2026
The school accepts applications via online mode. Thus, the eligible students can visit its official website to register and fill out the application form (jgu.edu.in/admissions-jindal-school-of-Design -and-architecture/). Candidates should fill in all the details correctly in the form. Along with this, candidates also have to provide a personal statement. Moreover, the application must be submitted before the deadline. Candidates must also pay the JSDA BDes application fee of INR 2,500.
STEP 2: Selection Rounds
Jindal School of Design and Architecture accepts scores of national-level exams, such as Jindal Creative Aptitude Test (JCAT) or submission of NID/UCEED score. However, candidates without a valid score on these exams can take the entrance exams conducted by the OP Jindal Global University, JCAT (Jindal Creative Aptitude Test). The school further shortlists candidates based on exam scores. Shortlisted candidates for the BDes course have to then appear for the portfolio review round.
