Hostel fees at K.C. College of Engineering and Management Studies and Research will vary based on the accommodation and the other provided facilities. In general, the total hostel fees are about INR 85,000 per year and include lodging, meals, and basic amenities while students are on campus. The hostel has arranged shared rooms and shared common areas, providing basic amenities such as beds, study desks, and storage to accommodate typically two to four students per room. Dining The mess is responsible for preparing meals for breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, and dinner. A balanced diet is ensured for students through the work of the college mess. Although the quality of food is good, students could improve dessert and ration convenience. There are additional costs for washing clothes, and sometimes, for using the WiFi. Placements at K.C. College of Engineering and Management Studies and Research are reasonable, with students being placed in the IT, engineering, and management sectors, with companies such as Infosys, TCS, IBM, and L&T visiting fairly regularly for jobs in software development & consulting, and core engineering. The average salary package is INR 3-5 LPA, depending on the field and individual effort. Some students, especially from computer Science and IT departments, have managed to secure higher packages of INR 10 LPA with Asset Works and TCS, although the placement rates varied by department - with 50-60% being successful with on-campus placements.A good contributing factor to students being successful on campus is the role of the Training and Placement Cell, which prepares students for interviews through mock tests, skills development workshops, and industry interactions. Ultimately placements are good for those who have solid academic performance and technical credentials, while other students may explore off-campus opportunities for better packages. Overall, the college provides reasonable placement assistance, but students who consistently network, develop skills, and secure internships will have better job options. If you are thinking about taking admission, it's always useful to connect with alumni to learn about their experiences with actual practice!

The quality of food at the K.C. College of Engineering and Management Studies and Research hostel mess has a standard of quality that can be highly dependent on personal taste and expectations. While many students do find the mess food satisfactory and appreciate that there are meals three times a day including breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner. The mess makes an effort to provide students with nutritious food, do their best to ensure students are balancing their meals. That said, there are students who will complain about cleanliness and taste. The food is typically fresh, but some students do not seem to find the same quality of variety every day. There are days where students find the meals to be well prepared and enjoyable, but there are days that they find it to be bland and/or not good. The mess typically attempts to maintain cleanliness, but there have been instances when students have questioned the cleanliness of the mess.In summary, mess food is functional - it does meet the daily need to provide meals. It may not measure up for taste and quality to home cooked meals. Mess food may not provide the quality that someone who is comfortable away from home and enjoys variation and nutrition or functionality in food will most likely be satisfied. Mess food may not always satisfy those who have high expectations for taste and a pristine experience with food. If in doubt, always check with current students at the college.
