Admission Process

Applications for admission have to be made Online only. The forms will be available from 8th June 2019. The payments can be made through online as well as offline modes.

Application Process

The application form for admissions to Kalna College have to be submitted online by 23rd June 2019. An incomplete form is liable to be cancelled. • Students are required to deposit an Application Fee of Rs 300, online to ‘State Bank Collect’ fees collection system OR • Offline to the Account of SBI, Kalna (35751009689) OR Bank of Baroda, Kalna (36230100009233) OR Axis Bank, Kalna (917020041973061). The students are advised to collect the College Fees Receipt, Roll No., Identity Card and Prospectus & Academic Calendar immediately after depositing the application fee. Candidates, engaged in any other Course of Studies/Job/Full- time Research Work, shall not be allowed to pursue B.Ed course simultaneously.

Admission Cycle:

Below are the Tentative Dates • Forms for BA, BCom and BSc for (General & Honors) courses will be available online form 8th June 2019 and for BEd, from 25th May to 10th June 2019. • The Provisional Merit list for Honors course will be displayed on 24 June 2019 at 11 A.M on the college website. If any grievances are found, they may be lodged on 25th & 26th June 2019. The candidates are requested to report to the college counter for the same. • The final merit list for counseling cum admission to the Honors and General course subjects will be published on 27th June & 2nd July 2019 respectively at A.M. • Counseling cum Admission to the General course subjects will be open from 3rd July 2019 to 7th July 2019. Documents to carry during the Counseling: • Print out of the filled Application Form • Application Fee Receipt • Xerox copy of Madhyamik • Admit Card • Madhyamik & H. S. Mark Sheets • Character Certificate from last attended school • Caste Certificate, Physical Handicapped Certificate (or all equivalent papers) along with the originals to the college for Verification & Approval for Admission.

I am very satisfied with the canteen.

Placements: In our college, almost 60% of students join this course. The highest salary offered is Rs. 20,000 per month, and the lowest salary offered is Rs. 10,000 per month. Top recruitment for this course is job and school teacher. About 20% of students got an internship in many companies.

Infrastructure: I am very satisfied with the canteen. Medical facilities are good. The quality of the food served is very good. It serves very fresh food. I really enjoyed games and sports. The college has huge fields for players.

Faculty: The teaching quilty of every teacher is very creative, and all students enjoy the teacher's work. The college makes students industry-ready for students. Semester exams of the college are average. Every student will get a maximum number.

Our college is ranked with a B+ grade by NAAC.

Placements: This is a general college, and it doesn't provide you placements at all. However, TCS recruits some students through its competitive exam from this college. However, the teaching is good here, and once you pass out from this college, you can get a job on your own.

Infrastructure: Our college provides moderate facilities and infrastructure. Classrooms are huge enough to sit with ease. The library is also available with lots of books and proper seating arrangements. Wi-Fi is being set up now, and it may be available for students in the next 2-3 years.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful. They are kind and highly educated. They try their best to teach us well. If students pay attention really well, they will learn some real things from teachers. The course curriculum is good, and it makes students industry-ready.

I am happy with the course and college because it helped me to build my future better.

Placements: None of the students got placed from our course because our course did not arrange any kind of placement. Our college did not provide placements. None of the students got internships in any company.

Infrastructure: Our department is very good here. There are many classrooms, 1 lab room and also a library. The hostels are also good, but the quality of the food served in the hostel is moderate. There is no canteen in our college. There is a small ground in between the buildings, which is used for sports.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful here. Our HOD and two assistant professors have a doctorate degree, while other teachers completed their masters. They are knowledgeable, and the teaching quality is good. The course is relevant to the curriculum, and it also makes students industry-ready.

Other: I chose this course because I think it is perfect for me and my future goal. It may help me to fulfil my goal. I think the laboratory needs to have more instruments. Thus students know more about practicals.

Infrastructure: In our college, we had labs, classrooms, and a library. The food was served to every student. Many games, like cricket, football, badminton, etc., were available for students. There was a tournament between teachers and students every week, so they practised every day.
