Placements: In MBBS, 89% of students get placed, and in MD, 86% of students get placed. The salary package offered is 8.40 LPA for MBBS and 15.8 LPA for PG. Abbott, GSK, and ERIS Life Sciences are the top recruiters. 100% of MBBS students do one year of compulsory internships at a KMC-affiliated hospital. Stipend is about Rs. 30,000 per month. Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) - Batch of 2025

Life at KMC Mangalore as an undergraduate doctor.
Placements: It's an undergraduate degree; as soon as you pass your final exam, you have to do a one-year internship from your college, and they pay you 30,000 per month. After that, you can join a private hospital, where the minimum salary is about 40,000 as an undergraduate, or you can go for PG.
Infrastructure: In my college, you will get a proper campus for only the first year; after that, you will be shifted to another hostel, and from there, all the venues for classes and postings are at different places, so you will mostly need a vehicle. The hostel mess is good, and all other facilities are great. There is a sports complex in the college where you can play squash, football, basketball, table tennis, etc., and there is a gym, but you have to pay for it.
Faculty: The faculty is really experienced and approachable. There are many famous faculty members in the college, like Archit Sir and SRB Sir; they are doctors themselves, so they prepare you for the real world and make you industry-ready. Exams are of medium difficulty; you need a minimum of 40% in theory and 40% in practicals, but the total should be 50%.
Other: The best thing about MBBS is that it's a noble profession and is respected, but the worst part is it takes a lot of sacrifice. Money-wise, you can make a lot of money, but you really have to work hard; passing MBBS is just the first step.

M.Sc. in Medical Microbiology.
Placements: During the training period, we were able to receive a stipend, which was typically between Rs. 25,000 and Rs. 40,000 per month. We grabbed such opportunities regarding the placement in charge. Alumni from the college had good connectivity with the college, even after course completion.
Infrastructure: There were enough spacious areas for relaxing, studying, and working. Specialized libraries were arranged for searching and observations according to the subject's needs. It was mandatory to wear identity cards within the campus. Otherwise, penalties would be collected.
Faculty: Teachers were experts in research methodologies and were involved in new research projects. They were motivating and inspiring the upcoming students to engage in research. Exams were less daunting for all kinds of students to approach.

BPT programme in KMC Bangalore provides good facilities and infrastructure.
Placements: In our college, there is no placement program, but there is an internship program. The number of students in my course was 40 in my year, but has increased to 50 for the junior batches. The internship program is free of cost and lasts about six months. We work in Manipal hospitals such as KMC Attavara, KMC Jyothi, and KMC Bejai for pediatrics.
Infrastructure: The college has good facilities, including air-conditioned classrooms and labs. The central library at Falnir has a wide selection of books and research publications. The hostel fee is around INR 1,20,000, which includes a mess card that can be used like an ATM card in the mess. The college has a sports complex called the Manipal Arena, which is free to use except for the gym.
Faculty: The faculty members are great and very supportive. They are all specialists in their fields. The teaching quality is excellent because most of the teachers are experienced and they share their knowledge and experiences with us. The course is semester-based, with each semester lasting six months. The exams are not too difficult, and the minimum passing percentage is 50%.
Other: My course was a BPT Bachelor of Physiotherapy. The reason I chose this course was because of the vast scope in this field we have, like cardiopulmonary, neuro, ortho, paediatrics, geriatrics, oncology, and sports medicine.

Detailed review of KMC, Mangalore.
Placements: The percentage of passed out students getting placed is 95%. The average package offered is 12-15 LPA. Top role offered is that of Senior Physiotherapists at Arsenal FC team. You can get an experience in 5 star hospitals of Bangalore including Government hospitals as well having well paid stipend for it.
Infrastructure: Everything is available except air conditioners. The food quality is okay, neither too good nor too bad. Sports and extra curricular activities are conducted in the Arena. There are many sports played in the Arena like basketball, badminton, etc. The campus is equipped with Wi-Fi facilities.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful in the department as well as outside the department. The course curriculum is relevant as per our batch. The semester exams in the college are normal but you have to work hard. The pass percentage is 98% because the remaining 2% don’t study well.

Overall, it is a good college that provides an excellent balance of academics and social activities.
Placements: The placement of students from my college for BPT has been quite promising. In the recent batch, 90% of students got placed and the average package was 30,000. Many students were successfully placed in reputed institutions and healthcare settings both nationally and internationally. The college itself offers a paid internship programme at the end of the course for every student.
Infrastructure: The overall infrastructure of the college is really good. It offers a calm environment for students to carry on with their work. The hostel facility provided by the college is quite promising. The rooms are well furnished with all the basic amenities needed by students. The mess is kept clean and the food is decent in there. Medical facilities are available for students 24/7; ambulance services are provided when needed; and there are basketball and badminton courts on the campus itself.
Faculty: The faculty in my course have been really helpful so far. They are most understanding and approachable to students, helping them in every way possible. The curriculum of the college is highly relevant to the respective courses and it gives hands-on experience to the students and makes them industry-ready. The semester exams are somewhat difficult but with enough reading and practice, a good score can be achieved in them. A student has to have a 50% score to pass the subject.
