Q: Can I become a lawyer after completing my LLB?
A:
No, After completing LLB you become a lawyer, however, you are still not an advocate and hence cannot practice law. To become an advocate and to practice law as a profession, you mandatorily need to clear the All India Bar Examination (AIBE). After qualifying AIBE, one can practice law as a full fledged profession.
Q: Can I start a law practice without a Law degree or become a lawyer?
A:
No, you cannot become a lawyer without a Law degree. You mandatorily need to obtain degrees such as BA/BCom/BSc/BBA LLB or LLB in order to be a lawyer in India. To become a lawyer, one must first complete three-year or five-year LLB from a recognised university and possess degree certificate. Then, they must enrol themselves in local Bar Council of the concerned state and enrolled as an advocate. Within two years of the enrolment, they must appear and clear AIBE in order to be eligible to practise anywhere in India.

Campus is well-equipped with decent placement opportunities, but faculty support could be better.
Placements: 80% of students from the 2025 batch are successfully placed. Around 100% of students secured internships. Companies offering internships include: High Court, Lower Court.
Infrastructure: The entire campus, including classrooms and hostels, is Wi-Fi enabled with good internet speed. Students can access academic resources anytime. Classrooms are well-maintained, equipped with projectors, smart boards, and comfortable seating. Most are air-conditioned. The mess serves decent, hygienic food with a rotating menu (vegetarian and non-vegetarian options). The canteen and food courts offer various cuisines at affordable rates.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified, with most holding post-graduate degrees or doctorates, and are friendly and helpful, often inspiring students to participate in projects, internships, and research, using case studies and practical applications, while workshops and guest lectures from industry professionals further enhance the learning experience, additionally. Most reputable colleges regularly update their curriculum to ensure the course material is relevant and prepares students for the workforce.
Other: I chose [BBA LLB] because of my strong interest in [Law and Accounting], and I believe this course provides the right foundation and skill set to build a career in this area, with a curriculum aligned with current industry standards, a strong placement record, experienced and supportive faculty, hands-on learning opportunities through lab work, projects, internships, and case studies, industry exposure through workshops, industrial visits, and seminars, and good company tie-ups for placement support.

If I wish to stay in Gujarat and have a great campus life.
Placements: Recently, our seniors started bringing companies for placements and internships. The batch that graduated in 2024 got placed. I got an internship in my second year, and it was paid well enough. I gained hands-on experience in real estate law.
Infrastructure: There is no hostel facility. Different types of tournaments are held, both intra and inter-college. As our college is a part of Gujarat University, we have coaches for different games, and students get selected from our college for state and international-level games.
Faculty: Teachers are experienced and qualified. About 75% of attendance is compulsory. There are two exams in each semester one is internal and one is external, held by Gujarat University. but, attendance rule is very strict, if we have 74% we don't qualify for internals.

The college organised a national moot court and speech day with senior advocates.
Placements: Our college provided students with an internship under experienced advocate so that they can get particular experience by working. The college also provided good law firm companies.
Infrastructure: The campus is fully internet-enabled with classrooms and the library. Classrooms are equipped with a projector, keeping in view the changing of the means of learning. The college provided Wi-Fi facilities, air-conditioned rooms, library, computers with access to SSC to easily find the cases. The campus is spread across a large lush green structure which is located at outskirts city.
Faculty: Faculty members here always encourage and motivate us to become better. Our faculty members support us and give us a good education. Teachers are well-qualified, and they believe that studies are not bound to a particular syllabus. They guide us on how to find different solutions for a single problem.
Other: Our college conducts a lot of functions, and it is fun to participant in them like annual function, moot court completion, parliamentary debate competition, guest sessions, etc. In these competitions, students take part enthusiastically, and advocate and the judge from the lower court to the high court are invited to judge in the event.

I am satisfied with the faculty members, really good infrastructure and facilities provided here.
Placements: In LJ School of Law, placements are provided in highly reputed and recognised associations or under advocates or in law firms. Every year students have to do an internship under advocates who are recommended by the college.
Infrastructure: The campus is lush green and located in the outskirts of the city. The campus is fully enabled with the internet facility, classrooms and library. Classrooms are equipped with projectors to change the way of learning.
Faculty: Faculty members of LJSL are very helpful for students, whether with the query of the syllabus or any other query of the course or in selecting the suitable career option. They are always ready to help students in whatever way they can.
Other: In LJSL, the syllabus does not constitute total learning. It needs to be supplemented by various other activities which improve the knowledge and also develop creative and critical learning among students. Events like moot court competition, mock trial, parliamentary debate competition, etc., are held in which students participate. Advocates and judges from the lower courts and high courts are invited to judge the events.

I am satisfied with the faculty, infrastructure and placements.
Placements: Our college offers the best support and also prepare the students for their internship and to grow as a person. Placements in our college are quite decent.
Infrastructure: Everyone is very supportive here. The location of the campus is good and safe for girls.
Faculty: The course BBA LL.B is not just limited to establishing yourself as a law advocate or practising in courts, but also its scope is pretty vast. There are higher positions retained just for the law professional. Faculty members are well-educated, good and pretty helpful.
Other: Our college conducts extracurricular activities and fest. Our college also conducts competitions like quiz, dance, singing and drama.

Review of L.J School of Law.
Placements: I am in the first batch of the LLB programme, so I can't say much about placements. However, I am sure the college will assist us with the placements. Many students get internships under prominent lawyers and judges.
Infrastructure: LJSL is affiliated to Gujarat University. It has very good infrastructure, especially a sophisticated moot court hall, well-furnished classrooms and well-equipped library. It has a huge and green campus.
Faculty: Faculty members of our college are knowledgeable, friendly and approachable, and students have the support system to enhance their skills inside as well as outside the classroom. All the professors are experts in their fields and very dedicated to their work. All the non-teaching staff members are also very friendly.
Other: LJSL conducts various guest lectures, seminars and webinars delivered by prominent lawyers and judges from various high courts as well as the supreme court of India. In Ahmedabad, there are very few colleges that provide regular lectures for 3 years LLB programme. Wherein the best part of LJSL is it provides regular lectures as well as many extracurricular activities. Here, 3 years LLB programme has equal rigour and equal opportunity for the students on par with the 5 years BBA. LLB programme has moots, mock trials, MUNs, parliamentary debates, internships and everything. All our seniors and juniors were very good and helpful, which made the campus life a lot more appealing. If you are already graduated from some other course but are willing to pursue law as a career, then you should go for 3 years LLB course from LJSL.
