My good experience at my college
Placements: There are only 21 students in our batch. There is no highest or lowest package, fees faculty of course is normal. Still I don't have any idea about recruiting company. We all students got offered for internship program from Cry and Webel. There are internship programs which gives us certificate and experience.
Infrastructure: There are lot of facilities, like infrastructure is much better than other colleges. Our professor's teaching method is good. We have our own wifi connection, we have ac classrooms, we have three big libraries. There are lot of books in it. We have three canteens, also we have a mini Nescafe outlet.
Faculty: Our professors are very helpful, qualified and also knowledgeable. Their teaching quality can pursue the student's knowledge. I don't think so that literature subject make a student industry ready. We are the new syllabus students that's why we have too tough syllabus in first and second semester. We have to study seven subjects. And each subject is not easy as seem. Pass percentage is thirty percent.
Other: I'm a anonymous writer and I love this subject that's why I chose this as my course. Teaching methods of my professors are good. Job placements need to be there after the course. There are lot of events in our campus, but the main three events. The most famous is kaliedoscope which is conducted on December, we have lot of fun in this event.

Apart from the old infrastructure, the college is really good.
Placements: The percentage of students placed in my course is close to 2–3%. The average package offered is maybe more than 30,000. My course provides many internships. The roles offered in our course are those of teachers, professors, sociologists, criminologists and many others.
Infrastructure: Our college is a government undertaking. Therefore, the infrastructure is average. Facilities are available but they are mostly very old. Most of the restrooms are unsanitary and the basketball court is unkept. The library is very good. However, there is no medical equipment in the medical room.
Faculty: In my course, the faculty is actually very good. Very helpful. However often they don't take their scheduled classes for which the syllabus remains complete. The curriculum is set by the University of Calcutta. But the faculty makes the syllabus easier.
Other: The on-campus college environment is really good. We have annual sports meets and college fests. Our students are open to participating in other inter-college fests as well.

Our college provides a good academic environment.
Placements: Internships are not provided. They provide information about where we can apply and which companies can hire us. You can apply for content writing and other private firms like Techno and Infosys. Career counsellors from various fields come to provide information about the career one can choose.
Infrastructure: The hostel fee is affordable. The food is up to the mark. Health and sanitation need to be taken care of a little. Hostel security needs to be improved.
Faculty: The teaching is great and very helpful. Teachers provide extra information about the subject and extra notes for exams. Extra classes are conducted to clear our doubts. Slides of various lessons are provided for better understanding. Our course is good.

Our college provides good infrastructure.
Placements: Students who score more than 85% of marks in the 12th standard are placed in this college. The highest salary offered is Rs 40,000 per month, and the lowest salary offered is Rs 15,000 per month. Almost 90% of students got internships. Our college is very good.
Infrastructure: In this college, Wi-Fi connection is very good. It also provides a good library and several books are available. Classrooms are well furnished with proper equipment. Laboratories are also good. The food served in the hostel is also better. Medical facilities are available. Games and sports are also good in this college.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, cooperative, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. We learn a lot from them. Our course curriculum is relevant. This college is affiliated with Calcutta University and question papers are also made by them. The exam papers are not difficult and students can get 30% easily.
Other: Everything is good in this college and nothing is required to change. Our campus is spacious. Many extra-curricular activities like sports debates, cultural programs, and seminars are conducted. I am satisfied with this college.

It is the best college with the best ambience and gives the highest priority to discipline.
Placements: At this juncture, I don't have much idea regarding the placements because I haven't passed out yet. Still, the exposure provided by this college is surely great. Students are provided with an opportunity to opt for a career-oriented course of their choice. Courses provided here have high demand these days, and you can acquire a course completion certificate along with your graduation. It is very advantageous.
Infrastructure: Due to Covid-19, I haven't been able to visit my college. However, I have heard that our college canteen serves good quality food, and it is easily affordable for you. The campus is huge with science labs, computer labs and also an extensive hostel facility for students.
Faculty: All the professors here are highly qualified and experienced. Many of them are authors of many research papers and books of undergraduate and post-graduate students. But even though teachers have good knowledge, it doesn't mean that they are good teachers. It is the same case with my department as well. However, the notes provided by the professors are really very useful and help to understand the essence of the topics on which notes are given. But all the professors don't provide notes. In political science, liberal arts is the most interesting subject with full of dynamism. It's highly relevant. Moreover, by studying this subject, students can build their careers in teaching, civil services, law, etc.
Other: I have visited my college just once for some official purpose, and the beauty of my campus just spellbound me. Our college is situated just opposite the Park Circus Maidan and on the main road. However, the campus is huge and has a lot of lush green trees and delicately maintained shrubs. The environment is extremely peaceful as students might feel they are in the countryside and away from any commotion. There is a perfect ambience to focus on studies.

Lady Brabourne College, Kolkata is excellent in infrastructure and curriculum but not in placement.
Placements: The placement cell is not much active because students are not interested in getting a job right after graduation. They have limited contacts as only TCS, Infosys and Wipro visit the college, that too without any prior information. So, hardly any student gets to know about it.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. The area under the college is huge. The library and classrooms are big with proper furniture and AC. A new building has also been constructed last year which has modern furniture and technology. The whole campus has Wi-Fi connection. The canteen does not have many options.
Faculty: Some of the faculty are really good. However, some do not put in much effort as it is a government college. The curriculum is as per Calcutta University, so it is one of the best in the world. The books which are referred are the best ones of the collection, and if the student studies properly, he/she can earn great knowledge.

Absolutely content with my college and the experience, materials, and friends I gathered from there.
Placements: Sociology batches in LBC constituted a better percentage of students than many other majors. Placements and internships were available through company or university fairs that took place on campus. My batch did not require internships during the course, but we were all successful in completing various internships after graduation. We were guided by our mentors whenever needed. Choosing a good mentor professor was essential.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure-wise, the college was up to date, and utmost cleanliness and discipline were maintained. I was not a hosteller myself, but I heard from classmates about the homely environment they experienced in the college hostel. However, critical essentials like air conditioning were not available in every room.
Faculty: Faculty was great, especially because they related to the newer generation and tried to keep up while also staying balanced with traditional values. The course was very relevant in today's world. Especially for someone looking to work in social welfare or take government exams for public sector jobs.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to give government exams and pursue social work, which is what I was doing at the time. The only thing I wish had been better during our time was the placement cell. But I heard it improved after our batch passed out.

Review of Lady brabourne college (2020-2023).
Placements: The placement rate for this college is 70%. The smallest available package is Rs. 2LPA. And the highest package available is Rs. 7 LPA.
Infrastructure: The arts department has very bad construction. There are no proper modern facilities in the classrooms. The science department is very well maintained, but the arts department is thrown away to rot in neglect. The walls are extremely dirty. The benches are broken. The hostel is again not at all well maintained.
Faculty: The teachers are quite helpful and friendly. All of them are highly educated and very knowledgeable. The curriculum is getting updated every few years, so that's a plus point. But they are not providing us with any industry exposure. The semester exams are average. The pass percentage is also above average.
