MOP- A great place for UG.
Placements: The college brings an immense number of opportunities for people who are aiming to get themselves placed in top companies like Goldmans Sachs, BCG, Deloitte, KPMG, EY, and other top recruiters. More than 80% of people were placed from our batch of 2019-2022, the rest opted for pursuing higher studies. The college provides soft skill training that is crucial for the placements and helps the students equip themselves for the placements. The average package for us was 6 LPA.
Infrastructure: The campus is very compact yet very professional, well-maintained, and sophisticated. The college provides good infrastructure that facilitates students to engage more with academics. The library has a large quantity of books from diverse fields that helps students in research. The classrooms are perfect for learning with AV projectors and leg space.
Faculty: The faculty members are very friendly and professional. Most of them are alumni of MOP itself. Their approach towards teaching is something I haven't witnessed anywhere else. They are well-qualified and know what they do. The course is very relevant for today's competitive world and trains us students to face the real world. The exams are not a big deal. If you pay attention to the classes, the exams should not be a matter of concern.
Other: The best thing about MOP is that it is a very safe place for women. Not because it's a women's college, but the people there made me feel comfortable and welcome. The campus life was very memorable with a lot of events, fests, culturals, and fun. It provides great opportunities for students to showcase their talents and skills. There are scholarship programs for ideal students. The canteen is overcrowded at times, but the food they serve is very good. Overall, MOP is like a second home to me.

A Glimpse of MOP Vaishnav College.
Placements: Approximately 8% of the students secured placements in the prestigious big four companies, namely Goldman Sachs, Deloitte, and KPMG. The highest package offered was 6 LPA, while the lowest was 4 LPA. Besides the big four, many other companies also recruit from our college. The roles offered include HR, financial analyst, etc.
Infrastructure: The B.Com Corporate Secretaryship course at MOP Vaishnav College consists of 70-80 students. The classrooms are equipped with a blackboard, projector, mic, and projecting screens. There is a common library accessible to all students, where they can borrow reference books or study material. MOP Vaishnav College does not provide hostel facilities. The canteen offers food from Nithya, Amirtham, and Hot Breads at affordable prices. Medical facilities, such as Apollo Shine, are available inside the college premises to address emergencies for both students and faculty members. The Physical Education department is highly active, with numerous sports teams for various sports.
Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified, knowledgeable, and experienced in teaching students. The quality of teaching is commendable. The curriculum is updated annually to incorporate amendments for enhanced learning and subject knowledge. The academic year consists of two semesters, namely the odd semester and the even semester, with a pass percentage of 40%.
Other: The college organizes numerous events to foster student connectivity and experience. Scholarships are offered upon advance application. MOP Vaishnav College is a vibrant institution where students eagerly join to pursue their undergraduate or postgraduate programs. The college hosts many cultural events.

It has good faculty members, average placement, limited space, and great extracurricular activities.
Placements: In the most recent graduation batch, 75% of students are successfully placed. Top recruiting companies that visit the college include Infosys. The key roles offered in our course are marketing manager, social media manager, and digital marketer, reflecting the industry relevance of our curriculum and training.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi access is limited to 30 minutes, requiring a login that redirects to an unnecessary page. It is often easier to top up mobile data than rely on the college Wi-Fi. Classrooms are small, and at times, chair is scattered across the halls and staircases. The canteen offers good-quality food at a reasonable price. Sports facilities are great, providing good opportunities for students. The practice ground is quite small.
Faculty: Some teachers are knowledgeable but struggle to explain concepts effectively, while others simply read from the PPT. One account teacher treats the subject like a theory paper, rarely using the board and explaining sums verbally, leaving students to take notes without visual aids. The course curriculum is somewhat relevant. Semester exams are easy. The passing percentage is 5-6.5 GPA I guess.
Other: Some students in my batch lack respect for faculty members and behave disrespectfully. A better syllabus would improve the experience. The college hosts many events and fests, but space is limited. The auditorium can accommodate 5-6 departments at once, while other areas feel cramped. Scholarships and extracurricular activities are well-supported.

Our college has good faculty members.
Placements: Students who score around 80-100% are eligible for placements. The highest salary package offered is 4 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 2.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Goldman Sachs, HDFC, Brain and Company, State Bank of India, and Accenture. Around 10% of students got placed in our college.
Infrastructure: Our college provides us with all facilities. Students have separate Wi-Fi access with an individual private password. Labs and classrooms are good. The library is available in our college. The hostel facility is not available in our college. Our college has a canteen. They serve vegetarian food items. They provide medical facilities.
Faculty: Our faculty members are good, helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is relevant. Exams are easy. We have less chance to write supplementary exams. We can easily score good marks. The pass percentage is 45%.
Other: I opted for this course because of my interest in it, and this course provides good knowledge. They should provide interesting lessons. Many events are held in our college. A scholarship facility is available in our college.

Review of M.O.P. Vaishnav College for Women.
Placements: A maximum of 10% of students who applied for placements got placed in top companies like Goldman Sachs, McKinsey, Paribas, HPE, EY, Deloitte, Accenture, Spark Capital, and Mad Street Den. For B.Com freshers, the lowest salary package offered is 2.2 LPA, the average salary package offered is 2.8 LPA, and the highest salary package offered is 6.5 LPA. Around 2% of students got internship offers from companies like Goldman Sachs, Mad Street Den, and EY. Analyst in auditing and sales, marketing, and content creation are the most preferred roles by recruiters.
Infrastructure: Our college does not provide hostel facility. It has Wi-Fi facility but in most cases, it does not work for students. Apart from these, it has good projectors in classrooms, well-equipped computer labs, and food labs. Library has several books that we need for academic purposes and we can borrow books for free for a maximum of 2 weeks. I would rate 3 out of 5 for food quality and taste for the food provided in the canteen.
Faculty: Staff members are well qualified in most cases. They put their 100% effort into teaching. The difficulty level of the semester exam is 10%. The pass percentage for semester exams is 85%. Students are well-taught about the relevant laws and industry standards during the course itself. Once they are placed in companies, they have the good knowledge about how companies work, the standards, and the ethics they follow. It is well taught during the course period itself.
Other: Our college hosts many cultural events, fests, and events by different department in rotation. I chose this course because of it's scope in coming years. The best thing about this course is that it feels easy and relevant for practical life. When it comes to campus and infrastructure, it is a very small campus. It is really so difficult during cultural events and fests to invite all the students and outsiders, so they only invite a few students and leave behind the others.

One of the best colleges in Chennai for B.Com courses.
Placements: About 20% students get placed in my department (marketing management), every year. And they are offered an average package of around 25,000/month, while the highest package is 5.5 Lacks/annum and the lowest package a student gets is 2 Lacks/annum. Some of the top recruiting companies includes Social Beat, HCL, HDFC. Students from my course get internships from Echo Mi, Omnia Digital, Social Beat, Taj Coramental, the park. Roles such as Marketing Research analyst, Social media manager, sales representative, marketing coordinator, event planner and customer service representative are offered in my course.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure such as Video Projector, 9 -5 library service, Apollo shine, well-equipped Computer labs, assembly Areas and when it comes to playgrounds, Study area, Games equipments the college provides very minimal area, as our college is comparatively smaller in Size. Our College does not provide bus or hostel service. The canteen provides pure vegetarian and healthy food as majority of the people in our college are vegetarian.
Faculty: The teachers in our college are well qualified and super helpful, they make the hardest concept, very easy to understand by giving life time examples and they always give lecture with PPT, which makes the concept very interested for the students. The course are curriculum related, we have courses like Digital marketing, service marketing, Market research and consumer behaviour, Integrated marketing communication, etc. For marketing students. The semester isn't difficult when a student know all the concepts, we get some case study questions in exams based on the concepts covered in the classes and the pass percentage is 40% for each subject.
Other: I'm a person who loves exploring things and hates desk job, I always had a passion for marketing, marketing inspires me a lot and I believe it's something that teach me some thing everyday, I always find that, there is always something new, that I learn about marketing when ever I intern in any marketing company. I wish there could have been more offline internship opportunities, as our batch have suffered a lot in terms of getting actually experience out of internships due to the pandamic. The college conducts Bazar every year to promote student entrepreneurship and there are many inter departmental events conducted for students.
