A Glimpse of MOP Vaishnav College.

Placements: Approximately 8% of the students secured placements in the prestigious big four companies, namely Goldman Sachs, Deloitte, and KPMG. The highest package offered was 6 LPA, while the lowest was 4 LPA. Besides the big four, many other companies also recruit from our college. The roles offered include HR, financial analyst, etc.

Infrastructure: The B.Com Corporate Secretaryship course at MOP Vaishnav College consists of 70-80 students. The classrooms are equipped with a blackboard, projector, mic, and projecting screens. There is a common library accessible to all students, where they can borrow reference books or study material. MOP Vaishnav College does not provide hostel facilities. The canteen offers food from Nithya, Amirtham, and Hot Breads at affordable prices. It is a dream college unless they don't keep 2 exams in a day during internals.

Placements: About 70% of the students got placed. Top recruiting companies were Goldman Sachs, Deloitte, EY and Pickyourtrail. Internal audit is the top role offered. The salary package offered is 3.5-5.5 LPA. Almost 100% of the batch got internships with a background in the public sector company.

Infrastructure: Our college has well-furnished and Wi-Fi-enabled labs and a library. There is no facility for the hostel on the campus. Our college's canteen serves a wide range of food. Medical facilities comprise a dispensary and a lounge. The college is pretty small, but it is airy with modern infrastructure.

Faculty: Our college and the department gives a holistic abundance of opportunities and an overall development for every individual. They update the course and books according to time with reality, and it helps us to keep in check with the world on time. The semester pattern covers internal marks and assessments periodically, and the 40% margin is the pass percentage.

Review of MOP Vaishnav College for Women.

Placements: The placements are not impressive this year since the college lacks coordination with companies. The packages offered are also not up to the standards. The college can put efforts and do a lot for the students. The students were not properly trained, and so, they didn't perform well, and the companies didn't give a chance to the students who have the CGPA below 6. There was no proper guidance given to the students, and they were not taken care. The students are independent because the faculty didn't look after them.

Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good. The campus is too small and can be extended. We face the trouble whenever we try to manage the space. Sometimes, when it comes to the cultural activities, the departments are given slots.

Faculty: In my department, the teachers are very nosy and always give opportunities to the students who are studious, which leads to a lot of politics. They control the students and try to involve in their personal life. They do not guide or act like a mentor. They manipulate the students emotionally.

Other: MOP does support extracurricular activities including soft skills and value education. They not only focus on the theory concepts, but they also support extra activities.

Good faculty and decent placements with scope for improvement.

Placements: Our college has decent placements in the B.Com Corporate Secretaryship course. Around 60% of students get placed. The highest package is around 6 LPA, and the average package ranges from 2.5 to 3.5 LPA. The top companies include Deloitte, EY, HCL, Infosys, and Wipro. Common roles are Analyst, Associate, HR Executive, and Operations Support.

Infrastructure: The college has decent infrastructure, but it is not the best. Classrooms are equipped with projectors, but labs need better maintenance. The library is good with enough books for the course. The hostel facilities are average. Rooms are small, and the food quality could be improved. Wi-Fi facility is available but is often slow. The college campus is clean and secure, but the canteen is too crowded during peak hours.

Faculty: Most teachers are well-qualified, supportive, and approachable. They use a mix of traditional and smart teaching methods. The curriculum is updated and relevant. Exams are held every semester and internal assessments help with final grades. The pass percentage is good. Over 85% of students clear all subjects without backlogs.

Other: I’d rate it 4 out of 5. The quality of education and placements is fair for the fee charged. With some improvements in infrastructure, it can offer even more value.
