Faculty, infrastructure, opportunities, campus life.
Placements: Firstly, the Accounting & Finance department is the biggest department in the College. To get into this college, one needs to score very good marks in high school. The placements are very good. Companies like Goldman Sachs, EY, KPMG and many more companies arrive for their placement drive sessions. Also, the internships are provided by the college for the students who have scored a higher CGPA in their semester exams.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good, pathetic, plus environmentally friendly. One never gets bored in college. Every student has their own Wi-Fi passwords, which are given by the college, and students can use them whenever they need to. Canteens are hygienic and serve healthy, yummy and a variety of dishes at convenient prices.
Faculty: The faculty members are engaging, supportive and help the students in every way. The teachers are highly qualified, disciplined and present themselves in a very formal way. Each year, 2 semesters are conducted by the college, 2 internal assessments, and the mentoring sessions are conducted by the faculty members for the betterment and change.
Other: Being in the Accounting & Finance department, I got many opportunities to present myself in various ways. No matter whether it's inter-collegiate, inter-departmental or representing in other colleges. It gives you clarity, experience, fun, learning and much more. A lot more events are taking place every week, and the fests are just amazing.

MOP- A great place for UG.
Placements: The college brings an immense number of opportunities for people who are aiming to get themselves placed in top companies like Goldmans Sachs, BCG, Deloitte, KPMG, EY, and other top recruiters. More than 80% of people were placed from our batch of 2019-2022, the rest opted for pursuing higher studies. The college provides soft skill training that is crucial for the placements and helps the students equip themselves for the placements. The average package for us was 6 LPA.
Infrastructure: The campus is very compact yet very professional, well-maintained, and sophisticated. The college provides good infrastructure that facilitates students to engage more with academics. The library has a large quantity of books from diverse fields that helps students in research. The classrooms are perfect for learning with AV projectors and leg space.
Faculty: The faculty members are very friendly and professional. Most of them are alumni of MOP itself. Their approach towards teaching is something I haven't witnessed anywhere else. They are well-qualified and know what they do. The course is very relevant for today's competitive world and trains us students to face the real world. The exams are not a big deal. If you pay attention to the classes, the exams should not be a matter of concern.
Other: The best thing about MOP is that it is a very safe place for women. Not because it's a women's college, but the people there made me feel comfortable and welcome. The campus life was very memorable with a lot of events, fests, culturals, and fun. It provides great opportunities for students to showcase their talents and skills. There are scholarship programs for ideal students. The canteen is overcrowded at times, but the food they serve is very good. Overall, MOP is like a second home to me.

Our college has good faculty members.
Placements: Students who score around 80-100% are eligible for placements. The highest salary package offered is 4 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 2.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Goldman Sachs, HDFC, Brain and Company, State Bank of India, and Accenture. Around 10% of students got placed in our college.
Infrastructure: Our college provides us with all facilities. Students have separate Wi-Fi access with an individual private password. Labs and classrooms are good. The library is available in our college. The hostel facility is not available in our college. Our college has a canteen. They serve vegetarian food items. They provide medical facilities.
Faculty: Our faculty members are good, helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is relevant. Exams are easy. We have less chance to write supplementary exams. We can easily score good marks. The pass percentage is 45%.
Other: I opted for this course because of my interest in it, and this course provides good knowledge. They should provide interesting lessons. Many events are held in our college. A scholarship facility is available in our college.

Placements: A maximum of 10% of students who applied for placements got placed in top companies like Goldman Sachs, McKinsey, Paribas, HPE, EY, Deloitte, Accenture, Spark Capital, and Mad Street Den. For B.Com freshers, the lowest salary package offered is 2.2 LPA, the average salary package offered is 2.8 LPA, and the highest salary package offered is 6.5 LPA. Around 2% of students got internship offers from companies like Goldman Sachs, Mad Street Den, and EY. Analyst in auditing and sales, marketing, and content creation are the most preferred roles by recruiters.
Infrastructure: Our college does not provide hostel facility. It has Wi-Fi facility but in most cases, it does not work for students. Apart from these, it has good projectors in classrooms, well-equipped computer labs, and food labs. Library has several books that we need for academic purposes and we can borrow books for free for a maximum of 2 weeks. I would rate 3 out of 5 for food quality and taste for the food provided in the canteen.
Faculty: Staff members are well qualified in most cases. They put their 100% effort into teaching. The difficulty level of the semester exam is 10%. The pass percentage for semester exams is 85%. Students are well-taught about the relevant laws and industry standards during the course itself. Once they are placed in companies, they have the good knowledge about how companies work, the standards, and the ethics they follow. It is well taught during the course period itself.
Other: Our college hosts many cultural events, fests, and events by different department in rotation. I chose this course because of it's scope in coming years. The best thing about this course is that it feels easy and relevant for practical life. When it comes to campus and infrastructure, it is a very small campus. It is really so difficult during cultural events and fests to invite all the students and outsiders, so they only invite a few students and leave behind the others.

College could improve and expand infrastructure. Cultural events are amazing.
Placements: Around 40% of the students were placed in my course. The highest package would be 40000 and average would be 15000. Goldman sachs, Deploit, EY are top recruiting companies. Nearly 100% of students got internship from my course from various companies. Financial analysis, financial accountant are the roles offered in my course.
Infrastructure: There are library and computer lab facilities in our college. There is no hostel facility in my college. The quality of the food at the mess are good. First aid medical kit are always available. There is no importance given in college for sports and games and no ground facility.
Faculty: Teachers are very much helpful and are well qualified. The course curriculum are relevant. It does make students industry ready. The semester exams are little difficult. Exam schedules need to change and should be given preparation time between times.
Other: Best thing about my course would be the faculty members. I wish to improve the sports, events, fests and extracurriculars would be extra ordinary.

MOP is the best college in Chennai.
Placements: Many reputed companies came for placements, like Goldman Sachs, Deloitte, E&Y etc. The salary package packages start from 2 to 6 LPA. Though we studied accounts, many software companies came to recruit us. After 2nd year, it is compulsory for us to do an internship in any company of their preferences, and some students get placed after their internship in their respective companies.
Infrastructure: The campus is not huge compared to other colleges, but it has a modern infrastructure. The classrooms have projectors and screens. Indoor and outdoor auditoriums, library, nurse station, canteen, labs, playground and parking area are available. The college does not have a hostel, and it is the only drawback, but the college excels in everything else.
Faculty: The teachers are experienced and knowledgeable. Their teaching methods really helped us learn the subject faster and easier. The curriculum offered is the best among the colleges in Chennai. The exam difficulty level is up to the student. If you are well prepared, then you can score good marks. 45 out of 100 is enough for you to clear the subject.
Other: The accounting and finance course is the best in the commerce department and the biggest department in the college. When it comes to functions and celebrations, our college is the best in the city, and they celebrate different cultures. Sports day, College day, etc., are also celebrated.

Our college provides good teachers and exposure.
Placements: Only one-fourth of our department has opted for placements. Almost 80% of the students got placed in college. The lowest salary package offered was 2 LPA - 3.5 LPA. Many companies are visiting the campus for recruiting UG students like EY, GS, Atos, and so many. You will have many opportunities to apply to various companies. EY and GS have recruited students for internships and also offered placements.
Infrastructure: Our department was excellent which will help you in all circumstances. But hostel facility was not provided, and the infrastructure was also smaller compared to other colleges, but that won't affect you in any way. MOP's canteen was always a bliss to have. The crowd shared all the happiness and the sadness in the canteen with the food that tasted very good.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college were much qualified and helpful and do complete the syllabus in a timely manner and in a proper summarised way which is even more understandable. They are knowledgeable enough to guide you throughout. A good curriculum and good exposure were provided. There is no much difficulty as they make students understand and study all the concepts by conducting internals expect the difficulty of writing exams on continuous days somedays.
Other: Everything on the campus was more than I expected. So no need of improvisation.

Overall, I am satisfied with the college.
Placements: Almost 75% of the students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered was 3.5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 2.4 LPA. EY, Grand Thornton, RBS and Standard Chartered were the top recruiting companies. Almost 80% of the students got an internship in our course. Top roles offered to the students are finance analyst tax and assurance.
Infrastructure: The college provides Wi-Fi, labs, washrooms, classroom, library, canteen, stationery shop, parking lot, open-air theatre, conference hall, PT room and NCC cabin. Quality of food in the hostel is bad as compared to the canteen food, and chat shop is the show-stealer in our college.
Faculty: Teachers were very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality was good. The course is relevant, and students choose this course more as compared to other courses.
