MS Ramaiah College of Law complies with the admission rules of Karnataka State Law University and Government of Karnataka. The law college reserves seats for the physically challenged students. 3% seats are reserved by the college for physically handicapped students.

The admission process for BCom LLB at MS Ramaiah College of Law is competitive in nature. Even after qualifying the basic eligibility criteria, the aspiring students have to compete against one another to get higher score in the entrance test and interview round. This is because a limited number of seats are available for BCom LLB at MS Ramaiah College of Law. Still, it is easier to get admission in this college compared to the top ranked law colleges in India, such as NLSIU, Bengaluru and NLU, Delhi. The college reserves 5% of seats for Kashmiri Migrants in BCom LLB until the last day of the admission. The persons claiming the status of Kashmiri Migrants have to produce the identity card issued by the Jurisdictional Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate of the Government of Karnataka to this effect.

Among the private law colleges in India, the fee at MS Ramaiah College of Law is moderate. The BCom LLB fee at the college can be justified considering its placement records. In comparison, the course is available at a lower fee in some prominent public institutes. However, reputable private institutes offering the same course charge a higher fee.

The aspiring candidate is required to register for the BCom LLB programme at Ramaiah College of Law. After this, the eligible candidate is intimated about the RCL Admission Test and the Personal Interview. Even if the candidate has scored the threshold score in CLAT and is exempted from the RCL Admission Test due to this reason, it is still mandatory to have a telephonic interview to complete the selection process for admission and secure a seat at the college.
