Hello! Ramitha G,. Madras Institute of Technology or MIT is affiliated to Anna University. Universities invariably offer degree of BE and institutions like IIT offer B.Tech. But let me assure you that, it makes absolutely no difference in your future life. For all purposes, both degrees are treated equally by the Industry as well as the academia. I would strongly advise you to not lose sleep over this totally insignificant issue. What is most important is the quality of faculty and perception of the institution outside it's premises. On this count MIT scores handsomely over its peers. Another issue you should not bother about is whether it's aeronautical engineering or aerospace engineering. Practically both are same. Both are good. But according to branch, you can opt your choice. If u want to take CSE or IT or ICT then I can say SASTRA is best, because of the high placement opportunity. Nearly 80 companies will come every year. You will have a very good opportunity of getting a job with a high package. Companies like Microsoft, Paypal, TCS and many more will be available every year. SASTRA will provide hostel scholarship and merit scholarships of nearly 34k every year. The advantage SASTRA has is, being a deemed university, it can rapidly adapt to changing technologies. Syllabus is revised regularly (annually), with the feedback from the students and alumni (I have given feedback both as a final year student as well as an alumnus, and most (90%) of the changes suggested were implemented). VIT, Vellore is the best option for you. VIT is a great place to study in terms of infrastructure curriculum and faculty members. The placements are also great. The faculty at VIT is really good and each teacher has a great profile. They use modernized teaching and also encourage more of practical learning.
