The admission is purely based on the Tamil Nadu HSC merit list. I got a community rank of 1500, so it was really for me to get a seat here. Cut off matters a lot . Cut off from 197 to 200 will do it to Madras Institute of Technology. Students have to fill the online engineering admission form and the details about counselling will be updated in mails

BE/B.Tech candidates are selected on the basis of TNEA counselling. 4. M.Tech candidates are selected on the basis of merit. 5. Candidates who have appeared for TANCET/GATE can apply for direct admission to PG course. 6. Application forms are available both online and offline. Other states candidates can apply for BE/B.Tech course online through TNEA website 7. Candidates are required to attach self-attested copies of relevant documents as stated in the information brochure, along with the application form 8. The attachments should also contain a copy of receipt of the prescribed registration fees. 9. All applications should reach the TNEA office on or before the specified last date. 10. You have scored good marks indeed. From this year onwards admissions to different engineering colleges in the state of Tamil Nadu will be conducted by dte of tech education of Tamil Nadu Govt and not Anna University as was the case till last year. Also counselling will be online with facilitation centres in all districts. I am attaching a link that will give you all the required information about this.
