If we look without too many expectations, we will be satisfied.
Placements: We are the first batch of the Computer Science and Business Systems Department and I am in my second year only. I did not know that much about placement in our depth but for civil, CS AI etc. There are better placements done in the last year. Placement training is given to all students.
Infrastructure: College is a very good place and has a nice ambience. Infrastructure is also good looking and okay. Labs and classrooms are also adjustable. Library is a nice place with scenic beauty and a lot of books. Hostel is also adjustable and well maintained for first year students.
Faculty: Every faculty member is the best but the majority of them are very good at teaching and have a great teaching experience. They always try their best to give us 100 percent. Course and curriculum are based on KTU. But it also seems to be okay. For me previous 2 semesters exams are not that hard. Cleared it with no supplementary exams.

    4Placements5Infrastructure4Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Industry-focused AI course with strong faculty and placements, though campus Wi-Fi could be improved
Placements: In the CS-AI 2024 batch, 88% of students were placed, with salary packages ranging from 4 LPA (lowest) to 14 LPA (highest), and an average of 6.8 LPA. Key recruiters included Infosys, TCS Digital, Wipro, Accenture, LTIMindtree, and Bosch. Approximately 75% of students secured internships at companies such as Infosys, Bosch, TCS iON, and various startups. Roles offered included machine learning engineer, full-stack developer, and data analyst.
Infrastructure: The department has 24/7 Wi-Fi, AC smart classrooms, NVIDIA-GPU AI lab, fab lab, and e-library access. The hostel offers clean 3-sharing rooms, RO water, and study halls; the mess serves varied veg/non-veg fare, rated decent. There is an on-campus health center and courts for football, basketball, badminton, and a gym.
Faculty: MCE’s faculty are mostly PhDs with industry exposure. They teach clearly and mentor well. The CBCS curriculum includes current AI/ML tools, labs, and internships, so grades are job-ready. Semester exams focus on concepts; difficulty is moderate, and around 82% of students pass each term.
Other: I chose AI-ML at MCE for NVIDIA-powered labs, research-driven mentors, and active hackathons. The best parts are hands-on projects with industry partners, vibrant coding clubs, and the KAIZEN teach-fest. I wish there are more elective courses with depth in NLP and better campus Wi-Fi. The lush hill campus has a friendly crowd, good bus and rail links, merit aid, and a strong sports and cultural scene.

A well-balanced college experience with supportive faculty.
Placements: Placements are good with regular visits from companies like TCS, Wipro, and Infosys. The placement cell is supportive, and many students secure jobs with decent packages. Placements are good with regular visits from companies like TCS, Wipro, and Infosys. The placement cell is supportive. Many students secure jobs with decent packages.
Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure and facilities. The hostel service is average, and mess food is okay. Bus service is reliable. Teaching is between average and above average. We enjoy extracurricular activities like arts and ethnic days, making college life enjoyable overall.
Faculty: Faculty members are supportive and helpful. The curriculum is well-structured with regular classes and good revision sessions. We have two series of exams before each semester exam, which help with preparation. Extracurricular activities are also encouraged, contributing to a balanced academic and campus life.

Good ambiance and atmosphere, large campus, comparatively good teaching, and disappoint food menu.
Placements: Currently, I am a first-year student, and we are the first batch of CSBS. So, I am not very informed about the placements for our course yet. But in other streams, there are a lot of placements happening. Many students have been placed in several companies, including Infosys and others.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good, with a very nice ambience and atmosphere. Classrooms can hold upto 60 students, and 30 students can access a lab at a time. There is a large library with many reference books. However, the hostel is slightly disappointing. While the infrastructure is okay. The food menu can sometimes be a bit disappointing.
Faculty: Teachers are well-educated and highly qualified. The quality of education is good. If we are willing to study, we can achieve good grades. Teachers do their best to teach us, and it's our responsibility to study and perform well. Semester exams are conducted by the university and are sometimes more difficult compared to the internal exams.

It has a strong AI & ML program with good placements and infrastructure.
Placements: I am a 2nd-year B.Tech AI & ML student at Mangalam College of Engineering - MCE, and I graduate in 2027. The placement percentage is 70-80 percent here. The highest package ranges from 8-10 LPA. The average package ranges from 4-5 LPA. Top recruiting companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, and IBM visit the college for placements. 60-70 percent of students get internships in TCS, Cognizant, and startups. Roles like an AI engineer, data science, and ML engineer are offered here.
Infrastructure: Mangalam College offers Wi-Fi, AI labs, smart classrooms, and a vast library for AI & ML students. The hostel is clean with Wi-Fi and security. Mess food is decent. The canteen has good options. Medical aid is available. It has sports like football, basketball, badminton, and a gym.
Faculty: AI & ML faculty members are helpful and qualified. They provide good teaching with industry exposure. The course curriculum is job-oriented, covering AI, ML, and cloud topics. Exams are moderate and require conceptual clarity. The pass rate is 80-90% with proper preparation and focus.
Other: I chose AI & ML due to my passion for technology and innovation. The best things about this course are hands-on learning, AI labs, industry-relevant curriculum, and good placement opportunities. Improvements should be made in more industry collaborations, AI hackathons, and updated lab infrastructure. The college hosts tech fests, cultural events, and sports competitions. The campus has a vibrant crowd of students from diverse backgrounds. Connectivity is good, with easy access to Ettumanoor town and nearby cities.

I would rate Mangalam College of Engineering as an average college.
Placements: There are plenty of placement opportunities. In the last year, about 75% of students got placed in several companies. But the salary packages offered are average. Actually, placements are available in this college and the students from the 7th and 8th semesters are eligible for campus selection. Many top companies like TCS, Infosys, etc., visit the college every year for campus selection. Many students get placed every year and the average salary package offered is 2 LPA.
Infrastructure: Our college has the best infrastructure. Labs are good and classrooms are average. The library facilities are excellent. Hostel infrastructure is also good but food is below average. Sports and games are average. There are a lot of places to sit and relax in the college. The main thing is it is never closed so that we can leave the college campus whenever needed.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are great but some are not. I liked the attitude and methods of the teachers because they always stick to the syllabus and also give detailed notes about each topic in the class. Faculty members present in the college are highly knowledgeable and some do not know the purpose of teaching. Mostly male teachers' classes are very boring. However, there are some good quality teachers we like the most. Most of the teachers taught using PowerPoint presentations. The student-to-faculty ratio is 3:26. We are not getting industry exposure. But the course is very useful.
Other: I chose the computer science and engineering course because it has scope and I can also specify AI after graduation. It is a core subject.
