Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) - Batch of 2026
3.6
An absolute way to gain your knowledge and fitness in this college.
Placements: There is no placement available for BCA; all companies come under the B.Com department. They claim to provide placements, but never actually offer them to a particular BCA group. They falsely state that they give placements to everyone, but they do not.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is decent, with plenty of greenery and natural air in this college, and there is a high priority on sports. This emphasis helps maintain our physical health and promotes a healthy lifestyle. It could be useful for regaining health.
Faculty: They conduct every exam correctly to assess the students and enhance their knowledge, which facilitates quick and easy learning. They notify us in advance about the upcoming exams so we can prepare effectively; as soon as they announce it, we start our preparation.
Other: There are good staff to guide you in the correct way to achieve more in your life.

Our college is very good.
Placements: 70% of students in this percentage were placed in my course. B.Com. has the highest package, and B.A. has the lowest and average package offered in our college. Media companies, educational institutions, marketing firms, etc. are the top recruiters. 60%–90% of students got internships. Teaching is the top role offered.
Infrastructure: Computer labs, libraries, neat classrooms, etc.—these facilities are available for my course and for the department. Yes, the quality of the facilities in our hostel is good. The food in the canteen, medical facilities, sports and games are all very good.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, qualified, knowledgeable and good at teaching. Yes, the curriculum is relevant. Some semester exams are difficult in this college; the passing mark is 30 in our college. It is sometimes difficult to write the semester exams at our college.
Other: For the teaching profession, I chose this course because it helps me improve my speaking and writing skills. English language should improve for this course. Events, fest, crowds, connectivity, campus, scholarships, extracurricular activities, etc. are very good.

Review of Mar Gregorios College of Arts and Science.
Placements: Placements at Madicaps University are pretty fine but I cannot completely depend on them. Placement at this college is not so good; they are just making promises at the time of admission and do not provide any resources from reputed companies like MDM, SBI, etc.
Infrastructure: Currently, it's under renovation but the infrastructure is sure to be good and impressive; it includes all the necessary facilities like the lab, conference room, etc. All classes have smart boards that are properly cleaned. There is no Wi-Fi for students, only for staff .
Faculty: Helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable teachers are there. There is the best teaching quality. The course curriculum is relevant. Students are industry-ready. There is nothing to say about this; there are a lot of industries that offer internships too.

Absolutely satisfied because of the faculty and good placement in 2022.
Placements: The percentage of students placed in my course, and the highest and lowest average packages offered in my course are about 30,000 to 50,000. More than 50% of students got internships in my course, the roles offered in my course, and the top recruiting companies.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are superb and well available in my college, and also in my college library, the quality of the facilities is well trained. Moreover, the quality of the food available in my college canteen is good, tasty, and hygienic.
Faculty: The teachers are super helpful in my department and well qualified, and they have very good knowledge about everything. In this course curriculum, yes, it made the students industry-ready, and the difficulty of semester exams in my college is less than 45%.
Other: This course gives me more knowledge about human life and literature-based. My teacher gives the notes for all the subjects.

The best part of MGC is its beautiful chapel.
Placements: Sales and marketing, banking and accounting, BPO, and logistics companies are recruiting here. Alongside many other sectors of jewelry shop owners, the students have many career opportunities to build up experience in the working field for their future endeavors.
Infrastructure: MGC has a good and huge canteen with awesome food. In sports, our NCC and NSS candidates have participated in renowned competition and have won many prizes, both in shift one and shift two. The computer lab was very useful during our Naan Mudhalvan period and classes. The lab instructor was also such a great help at that time; she was with us and guided us a lot. The English lab has been useful for us while representing our projects for seminars and PPTs. Also watching video of the prose, poems, and dramas based on what is given in our syllabus.
Faculty: Yes, teachers have been very helpful and they teach with reference. The difficult questions in exams are based on the questions given by the university. It is up to how the student studies, shows interest in the teacher's teaching and performs well in the internals. 85% students pass the exams.
Other: I chose these courses because I wanted to become a teacher in the future. I felt English was the easiest language in my career so I took up these courses. I was introduced to MGC by one of my dad's friends, whose cousin studied at MGC a few years ago, in the year 1998, in the department of Vis. Com. In my course, I wish the syllabus had some different ways and new ideas for students to improve and do better in their careers. We celebrated Pongal, Christmas, and a cultural program, which was super and all the students enjoyed it very much.

All the facilities are provided by the college.
Placements: After completing 1st year, we become eligible for sitting in placements. Companies start coming at the beginning of the 3rd Semester only. Companies come for every type of role such as consulting, HR, Analyst, senior analyst, etc. Till now, the placements aren't as expected. The highest package for the 2021 batch has been 7LPA. The most important thing Is that, placements aren't conducted college-wise, there is a central placement cell for all 16 colleges and every student needs to get registered with it to be eligible for sitting in placements. Internship opportunities are also offered by The placement cell and companies like Paperpedia, Decathlon, Admitkard, etc. Come for internships with no or very little stipend. 30-40% of students get placed in every batch.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities are so good, they had a hostel building on their campus. They charge me around Rs.20,000p. A as hostel feels, The registration for the hostel is engaged in the admission process. The infrastructure of the hostel room is maintained well, they are also very punctual in the food supply for students. The hostel had an individual private restroom, lobby, and main hall and the hostel staff were so secure and supportive.
Faculty: All the teaching faculty of the college is very understanding and helpful you can ask your doubts after the class with your concerned teacher. All the master students are supposed to give presentations on the given topics from the syllabus which makes them ready for their future exams and helps in learn fast the semester exams are conducted every gap of 6 months and the mid-sem are conducted with the duration of 3 months and from my experience, mid sem are easy to pass and semester exam is also easy if you have listened well in the lecture. Class size;-50 Course feels;-INR 17000 per year.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of faculty and poor placement in the year 2022.
Placements: I joined in the year 2019–2022. I joined the BCA department because there is no campus and no good infrastructure, and there are few job opportunities in the BCA department because there are no internships in college and no internship is offered in college.
Infrastructure: Poor infrastructure is available in the building structure; there is no Wi-Fi for students phones, which are not allowed to be used on campus. There is good lab infrastructure, but old models of computers are not in good enough condition to work. Average college infrastructure is here.
Faculty: Faculty are not up to the mark. More exams are conducted in the internal 1 and internal 2 models, and semester by semester, there is poor management, and they think they are good for us in BCA. We also have a lab exam like the practical exams, but with less good-quality staff.

In terms of faculty members, I like this college.
Placements: We will not have any placement drives in March. Actually, this is a nice course, but the college is not offering any options. Other companies say no to my course. There is no percentage of internships from my course; zero percentage of students were placed from my stream.
Infrastructure: In our college time, we will not be allowed to use mobile phones. There is no Wi-Fi facility. There is only one lab for all of the students. And also a bad library without adequate books to refer to. The hostel and the food offered in the canteen are not so good. I personally don't like it.
Faculty: Our faculty members and teaching quality are really nice. Our teachers are good, and they act as teachers for their students. They are qualified staff and really understand the sense they want to convey. This course curriculum includes six subjects in one semester.
Other: I chose this course because I want to be a banker.
