Placements: I am a proud student of Marwari College, Ranchi, currently enrolled in the B.Sc. in Information Technology programme for the 2024-2027 batch. From the very first semester, I have experienced a strong blend of academic learning, practical exposure, and career-oriented guidance. When it comes to placements, our course has an impressive track record. Around 60% or more of students secure placements directly through campus recruitment drives. For our seniors, the highest package offered is around ₹7 LPA, the lowest is ₹2.5 LPA, and the average generally lies between ₹3-5 LPA, which is a great start for fresh graduates in this field.
Infrastructure: As a student of B.Sc. in IT in the 2024-2027 batch at Marwari College, Ranchi, I can say that our department offers an excellent learning environment with well-maintained infrastructure. The classrooms are spacious, well-lit, and equipped with projectors and smart boards, making lectures more interactive. The department has modern computer labs with high-speed internet and updated software for programming and networking. Wi-Fi connectivity is available all over the campus areas. Medical facilities are readily available, with a health center on campus to handle basic checkups and emergencies. For sports enthusiasts, the college has well-maintained playgrounds and courts for badminton and indoor games.
Faculty: Faculty in the B.Sc. IT department at Marwari College, Ranchi, are highly qualified, approachable, and genuinely invested in students' success. Many of our teachers hold postgraduate or doctoral degrees in their respective fields, along with years of teaching experience. They not only explain concepts but also provide extra guidance after lectures whenever students need help. The course curriculum is well-designed and regularly updated to match industry needs. It covers programming languages, database management, networking, web development, and emerging technologies like cloud computing and cybersecurity. As for semester exams, they are moderately challenging.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in IT and problem-solving. I wanted a program that would give me a solid foundation in IT along with practical exposure, and Marwari College has a good reputation in this field. The best things about this course are the combination of theory and practical work, the supportive faculty, and the availability of updated computer labs with all the necessary software. If I could suggest improvements, I'd like to see even more industry tie-ups and guest lectures from professionals, as well as more advanced lab equipment for certain specialized topics.

Affordable courses with decent infrastructure and moderate placement at Madhavi College, Ranchi.
Placements: I completed my BSCIT in 2025 from Madawari College, Ranchi. Around 50% to 60% of students got placed from my course. The highest package offered is around 6 LPA, while the average is about 2.5 LPA, and the lowest is about 1.8 LPA. Top recruiters include Wipro, TCS, HCL, and some local startups, around 30%-50%.
Infrastructure: The college has a decent infrastructure for the BCA department. There are well-equipped computer labs and Wi-fi projectors in the classroom and a good central library with digital access. The campus is clean and moderately maintained. There is no dedicated PGS or A-level available. The canteen food is average with limited options but hygienic. There is a medical facility on campus. Price and decent focus on sports with a large, rounded, and occasional inter-college events. However, the Wi-Fi network sometimes becomes unstable. The lab piece needs to be maintained more frequently.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are well-qualified M.Tech or PhDs and have good command over their subject. They are helpful and available for doubts, but the teaching style is more theoretical than practical. The curriculum is relevant but needs updating. The current industry standards, like cloud computing, IML, etc. Semester exams are not very tough, and the pass percentage is around 85% to 90%. Internal assessment, assessment, and attendance play an important role in the final grading.
Other: The total fee of BCA and B.Sc. scores like ISIS Rs. 2,70,000 to Rs. 90,000 for the entire three-year program, including admission and exam fee. Considering the fee structure and the government officiation, it is affordable and worth it for middle-class families. You get a recognised degree at a reasonable cost, which is great for a student who wants to pursue further studies or a government exam. The student crowd is diverse with a mix of Ranchi locals and students from nearby districts. Campus life is active during fest like tech fest in the world and sports week, not only at Metro City colleges. The connectivity is good as Campus is located in Bahri Talab Hindpiri. There is less focus on extracurricular activities like coding clubs or entrepreneurship, which should be improved.

Marwari College, Ranchi a fresh way to start your life.
Placements: Approximately 30% of students are selected if they are good at English speaking and other activities. As much I know, there was a girl who got 6.5 LPA package from a company. The average package is around 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies like TCS, Infosys, and Vedanta are coming to our college.
Infrastructure: The overall infrastructure of the college is very nice. There is Wi-Fi facility with Zoology, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics labs, and medium to big size classrooms with a library. I live in rented apartments at a distance of 3 KM from the college so I do not ask about the hostel from anyone.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is also very good. If we talk about the course curriculum, it doesn't make the students industry-ready. The semester exams are not that much difficult, and the pass percentage is around 55%.
Other: I have chosen this course because I am preparing for SSC exams. I only want a graduation degree for my exams that's why I chose this course. There is nothing to improve in this course. There are many events after I take admission to this college. There are NCC and NSS like sports activities also.

Academic structure & good supportive facilities, need more industry exposure and campus activities.
Placements: 60% of students are placed in FY 2024. Companies like TCS, Cognizant, Capgemini, Wipro, SAP, Accenture, TCS BPS, Concentrix, BPO, and local companies are coming. The highest package is around 6 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA in vocational courses like B.Sc (IT, CA, CS ), Mathematics, and BBA. 60% of students get internships in companies like IBM.
Infrastructure: The facilities in our department are decent, with access to well-maintained classroom equipment with personal and Wi-fi network. The college also provides computer labs for practical sessions, and the central Library has a good collection of books. The general hostel facilities are basic, but maintainable with clean rooms and necessary amenities. The food is average in taste, but hygienic. The canteen offers a variety of edible snacks. Medical facilities are available on campus for minor health issues. The sports infrastructure, including a playground in indoor game facilities, encourages physical fitness and extracurricular participation.
Faculty: The teachers in our department are generally helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable in their subject. They are approachable and provide support beyond the classroom when needed. The teaching quality is good, with a mix of theoretical and practical learning, although sometimes the classes can feel rushed due to academic calendar. The course curriculum is relevant and aligned with university and standards. It covers important data topics and introduces modern developments. More industry, exposure, and hands-on training would make it even more effective in preparing student for job.
Other: I chose this course due to my interest in the subject and its relevance to my career goals. It provides the best approach, thus best, except for including. However, it could improve with more industry exposure, intensive and soft-skilled training. The college hosts cultural events, departmental fests, and the campus has a friendly, diverse crowd. Extracurricular activities like sports and clubs support overall development through more intercollegiate events, which further enhance the student experience.

Placements: Approximately 30% of students secure jobs through campus placements. The average package in our college is around 2 LPA, while the highest package is 4 LPA. There is no internship facility provided by the college students have to find internships on their own. Companies visit the campus for placements.
Infrastructure: There is no hostel facility in Marwari College. The campus infrastructure is good, and labs are well-maintained with a student to lab ratio of 1:1. Classrooms are modern. There is a mess and a canteen in the college, but medical facilities are not available. In the field of games and sports, the college is good.
Faculty: Some faculty members are good, but others in certain subjects are not good enough. The college is not sufficient for securing an industry job. If you want a job, you have to study on your own. The questions in exams are asked from the semester syllabus, and the difficulty level is little bit higher.

A very good institution for UG and PG.
Placements: The highest salary package offered is 45 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Approximately 90% of students get placements on campus. Various fields such as astronautical, professor, scientist, etc. It holds a very good ranking in Jharkhand. Many companies like Infosys, Google, Microsoft, etc., offer jobs in our college.
Infrastructure: We have modern infrastructure with well-educated and professional faculty members in every department. They help students as much as they can do. There is also a Hi-Tech Wi-Fi system on the campus which allows students to study from the internet. Drinking water is well-placed and good.
Faculty: We have helpful and kind faculty members. There are many exams held before the university exam to increase the knowledge of students and make them ready for upcoming exams at the university. All courses are in semester form in our college.
Other: A of students from Jharkhand and other states come to study here.
