It is very economical as fees is less and competitive atmosphere.
Placements: Maximum 5 to 7 out of eligible approximately 15 students got placed in recent years. (total strength of production and industrial engineering is around 30 each year). Few got very good placements like in Vedanta, NBC bearing, HLS Asia Ltd and TCS. The best branch in terms of placements are computer science and mining engineering.
Infrastructure: It is one of the oldest colleges started in 1952, and due to lack of modernisation in infrastructure the buildings are not like the private institute, but the modernisation work is going on very fast due to strong support by alumni of the college. The library is not that good, but the campus is at the centre of the city which has a greater advantage. The 85th international seminar is in the college which is very good.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are very good. If you are interested in studies, they are always available to answer you. In this college, you have to run behind professor. No spoon feeding will be here. The only problem is that they don't use slides to teach. The course is both practical and theoretical oriented.
Other: A lot of technical, cultural fest and events keeps on going throughout the year.
