Q:   What is the difference between the syllabus of Andhra Pradesh LAWCET and the syllabus of CLAT?
A:

Both the AP LAWCET and CLAT entrance exam are conducted for admission to the Law schools in India, however, the syllabus for these exams are different on many parameters and candidates should strategise differently for both the exams. AP LAWCET exam has sections including Current Affairs, Legal Aptitude, Contract Law, Constitution, etc. and the CLAT entrance exam sections include English Language, Legal Aptitude, Mathematics, etc. AP LAWCET does not have mathematics subjects, AP LAWCET exam focus more on regional knowledge. Nalanda College has good infrastructure and campus. The teaching staffs are very supportive.
Placements: Pursuing LL.B (Hons), batch of 2025. Last year, around 70% of students were placed. The highest package offered is 18 LPA, and average is 7 LPA. Top recruiters included CAM, Trilegal, and Infosys. 90% secured internships in law firms, courts, or legal departments.
Infrastructure: College provides facilities like library, reading room, smart TV classrooms, a moot court hall for students, and also provides Wi-Fi facility. Speaking about the infrastructure, the college has been well-maintained since 2003. Our college does not provide hostel facility for the students.
Faculty: Teachers are well-educated and knowledgeable. The teaching quality and the guidance provided by the faculty are very helpful. The course curriculum is relevant. The seniors who have passed the course are now working in a high-paying company. Also speaking about the semester, they are conducted by the university. Everything during the examination is very strict.

You should definitely choose this college if you are looking for a less chaotic college environment.
Placements: There were 105 students in our batch. In law colleges, students generally did not get placements. However, we gained practical knowledge through court visits and jail visits.
Infrastructure: The classrooms were normal. We had a library with a vast collection of law books. The college also had a canteen that served breakfast and lunch. There was a nice seating area, coconut trees all around the campus, and parking facilities for both bikes and cars.
Faculty: Teachers were very helpful, especially Prof. Durga Ma'am and Prof. Devendra Sir. Their teaching was excellent. Semester exams were not very difficult, if students attended all the lectures. The college conducted one semester exam every six months, which meant two semester exams each year.
Other: I chose this course because my father is an advocate, and since my teenage years, I have spent my summer vacations at the Borivali Court. From the beginning, I wanted to pursue law. The fees at this college were much lower compared to other colleges. The college also organized legal aid camps and sports days.
