MH CET Law Seat Allotment 2026: The State CET Cell, Maharashtra, now released Round 3 seat allotment result for both 5 and 3 Year LLB online. Students can view their allotment status at cetcell.mahacet.org. The seat allotment result can be downloaded via Candidate Login. The authority published 5 Year LLB seat allotment result 2026 Round 3 on September 18. The MH CET 3 Year LLB Round 3 seat allotment was out on September 20, 2026. The MH CET Law Counselling 2026 is done through Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for 3-year LLB & 5-year LLB programs.
In this process, all universities accepting MH CET Law scores provide admission to 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB courses through a common counselling process. Students allotted seats will have to report to concerned colleges for admission. For MH CET Law 2026, the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) will have three main rounds (CAP Round 1, 2, & 3) for both 3-year and 5-year LLB programs. With potentially more rounds or spot admissions if seats remain, but generally, around 3 rounds of online counselling for seat allotment.
If you are not satisfied with your seat allotment through the MH CET Law Counselling, you can either participate in the subsequent rounds of counselling. You also have the option to withdraw from counselling. You will have to pay a withdrawal fee.
Under MH CET Law CAP process, freeze option refers when candidates want to confirm their allotment and if they do not want to participate in the further counselling rounds. They will accept the allotted college and pay the admission fee. Such candidates will not be considered for further counselling rounds.
The MH CET Law 2026 Counselling Process is primarily online, involving online registration, document uploading, choice filling and online seat allotment. It is done by the Maharashtra CET Cell on the official portal. Though some verification might involve physical document checks later, the main process is digital.
MH CET Law Seat Allotment 2026 Process
Before checking MH CET seat allotment lists 2026, candidates need to know about CAP Round 1, CAP Round 2, and CAP Round 3, which are stages in which lists are released. Check out the different stages for MH CET Law seat allotment below:
CAP Round 1
Round 1 of CAP is stage in which colleges accepting MH CET Law offer seats to candidates after option form filling. In this stage, candidates can select "Freeze" option on the CAP Portal to accept the seat preferred by them, and they will have to pay INR 1000 to confirm seat.
If a candidate does not receive his or her first preference seat, then he or she can click on the "Betterment" option and proceed with CAP Round 2.
Note: If the seat of first preference is offered to a candidate, he or she is bound to accept it. This candidate will also not be eligible for CAP Round 2 and Round 3. If he or she does not accept the seat, it will be offered to another candidate in CAP Round 2 or Round 3.
CAP Round 2
As mentioned above, CAP Round 2 will be a "Betterment" round. The same rules or terms as those of Round 1 will be applicable to Round 2. If a candidate wants to accept the seat offered to him or her by a college, he or she will have to choose the "Freeze" option in "Seat Acceptance Status" or else opt for "Betterment" and will be considered for further allocation in Round 3.
CAP Round 3
Round 3 of CAP will be the final round of admission to 5-year and 3-year law colleges through MH CET Law 2026. In this round, the vacant seats will be filled.
Note: If a candidate freezes a seat and does not pay the MH CET Law CAP fee of INR 1000, he or she will be considered absent for the seat allotment process.

Percentile scores are based on the relative performance of all those who appear for the examination. Basically, the marks obtained are transformed into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each session of examinees.
Basically, the Percentile Score indicates the percentage of candidates that have scored EQUAL TO OR BELOW (same or lower raw scores) that particular Percentile in that examination.
However, marks are the raw scores obtained in the examination by the candidates. Based on these raw scores/ marks, percentile score in the range of 0-100 is calculated to measure each candidates' performance without any bias due to different difficulty levels.
The MHCET Law cutoff means the least marks you need to get admission in a law college. It keeps changing every year depending on exam level, total students, and seat numbers. If you score higher marks, your chance of getting top law colleges becomes much better.
Normalization process is an established practice for comparing candidate scores across multiple shift papers. There are possibilities of different level of difficulties in each shift for the same exam, however to tackle this scenario, the Normalization Method will be used to calculate the MH CET Law 3-year and 5-year LLB results.
Step 1: Candidates would be distributed into four sessions randomly so that each session has approximately equal number of candidates. Suppose: Session-1: Day-1 Batch 1 (D1-B1), Session-2: Day-1 Batch-2 (D1-B2), Session-3: Day-1 Batch 3 (D1-B3).
Step-2: The examination results for each session would be prepared in the form of Raw Scores.
Total Percentile (TP) = 100 X No. of candidates appeared from the session with raw score equal to or less than T1 score
Total No. of Candidates appeared for the session
Step-3: The Percentile scores for the Total Raw Score for all the four sessions (Session- 1: Day-1 Batch 1-1, Session-2: Day-1 batch-2 and Session-3: Day-1 Batch-3 as calculated in Step-2 above would be merged and shall be called the CET Percentile scores which will then be used for compilation of result.
The Percentile of all four sessions will be calculated separately for the total raw score.

Log in using your application ID and date of birth, and your scorecard will appear on the screen. It shows your total marks and percentile clearly.
