Affordable government polytechnic with good faculty and campus environment.

Placements: About 50% of students get placement or internship opportunities from different branches. The average package offered is around 2.5 - 3 LPA. Some students also prefer lateral entry for higher studies after completing the Diploma. Companies related to technical services, telecom and electrical sectors visit for recruitment and training programs.

Infrastructure: Nalbari Polytechnic has good infrastructure for a government Diploma college. Classrooms, lab, workshops and library facilities are properly maintained. The campus environment is peaceful and suitable for study and practical learning. Canteen facilities are decent and affordable for students.

Faculty: Teachers are supportive and experienced. They help students in both theory and practical classes. The curriculum is useful for gaining technical knowledge and basic industry skills. Semester exams are moderate, and students who study regularly can score good marks easily.

Other: I chose this college because it is a government polytechnic with affordable fees and a good learning environment. The best part of this college is the supportive faculty and practical labs. Cultural programs, sports and technical activities are also organised for students. Overall, it is a good option for Diploma students in Assam.

Our college need to be good.

Placements: Placement offers very few. Just 1 or 2 companies comes to offers us job and select just 1 or 2. The placement of the college is not good. The highest avarage package offers in our college is just like 120000 annual. The lowest is very the lowest. We should need good placement .

Infrastructure: There is no hostel in our college that's why students are in very trouble. They rent a room and study here. Classroom are good. There is no playground here and sports are not played. Wi-Fi are not available for students and also network issue in the college campus.

Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable. But there teaching quality is very poor. They just teach us theory but they don't teach us practically. Even all teachers not completed their courses and students are facing problems in the final moment of the exam. I think Teachers are should be responsible.

Other: I choose this course because it's have very good future and great career opportunities. Our course should be teach us practically.

Very good college. Teachers are very helpful, and placements are good.

Placements: All of my batch students passed. 60% of students got placed in my course. The packages ranged from 2 LPA to 5 LPA, with an average of 3 LPA. Top recruiters included Tata, Infosys, Jio, Airtel, and healthcare services. The overall placement rate was 70 percent. Job roles included IT Executive, Electrical Engineer, Printing jobs, and HNM.

Infrastructure: My department was CSE. It was the best for me. Faculty members in the CSE department were good and best human beings. They helped us with every doubt. Classrooms were clean, and the practical lab tools were good. It was a new college, established in 2017. When I was a student, it had no hostel facilities, but the canteen was good.

Faculty: Teachers were very helpful and qualified. The teaching techniques were uncommon and very good. Some teachers were not good, like in the Electricity department. Exams were very difficult. The pass percentage was a minimum of 35%. In theory exams, you needed 24 marks out of 80.

Other: I chose this course because it was my dream. The best thing was coding. I love coding.

Review of Nalbari Polytechnic.

Placements: The college campus placement is below average. There are many fewer companies for campus placement and their offers are too low. In our batch itself, only 20% of students got placed in college campus placements. The companies that come offer a very low salary, which is not at all appreciated.

Infrastructure: The classrooms are good but the labs are not that advanced, and there are no hostel facilities. And the college doesn't have it's own canteen. You need to visit an outside food stall for lunch or snacks. The library does not have all the kinds of books you want.

Faculty: Teachers are quite good in the computer science department. They help you in every way possible with the exams and other curriculum. The course lacks practical experience and is mostly based on theory. The semester exams are well organized and yes, you can clear your exams if your basics are clear and you have the right knowledge.

After 10th Diploma

Candidates must have passed H.S.L.C./10th or its equivalent examination in a single sitting with Mathematics and Science as compulsory subjects (Without grace marks in Maths and Science and also have to pass indivisually in both Theory and Practical/ Internal assessment) with average 40% marks in Mathematics and Science for General/ OBC/ MOBC category (35% marks for SC and 33% marks for ST category) from a recognised board/institute. The maximum age limit is 20 years 6 months for UR/OBC/MOBC as on 31-12-2023 and for 23 years 6 months for SC/ST as on 31-12-2023. Candidates must be a Permanent resident of Assam.
