The National Institute of Design will conduct the DAT Mains exam separately for the B. Des and M.Des programs.The DAT Mains exam for the B. Des programme will be conducted in April 2025 (tentative). Meanwhile, DAT Mains for the M.Des programme will be held from March onward.The DAT Mains exam for the B. Des programme comprises a Studio Test that will be conducted in a center-based mode. The candidate won’t have the option to select the specialisation for the B.Des programme at the time of filling out the NID DAT 2024 application form. Instead, the candidate simply has to select the programme of study (B.Des), when filling the form.Candidates who get admission to the B.Des programme typically have to attend a mandatory foundation programme of one year. The allotment of discipline or specialisation will be done based on the performance of the candidate in the program.The B.Des offered by the NIDs is a full-time programme of 4-year duration.

Yes, the candidate was given an opportunity to edit the submitted application form. The NID application form 2024 correction window was open from December 8 (12 noon) to December 10 (4 pm), 2023.Using the edit option, the candidate could edit all information except the following:Name of the CandidateDate of BirthRegistered Mobile Number Registered Email IDAlso note that if the candidate changed his or her applied category, then any applicable additional application form fees had to be paid by the candidate.
