The candidate was given the option to select NID DAT 2023 exam centres from April 3 (4 pm) to April 5 (4 pm). The test centres were allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. In the case of candidates who failed to select test cities, the system automatically allocated test cities based on the availability of seats in respective test centres. The details of the test centre allocated to the candidate are mentioned in the NID DAT 2023 admit card. The NID DAT Mains 2023 Studio Test for B. Des was held on April 30, 2023.

The National Institute of Design conducted the DAT Mains exam separately for the B. Des and M.Des programs. The DAT Mains exam for the B. Des program was conducted on April 30, 2023. Meanwhile, DAT Mains for the M.Des program was held from March 20 onward. The DAT Mains exam for the B. Des program comprises a Studio Test that was conducted in a center-based mode. The final results of NID DAT 2023 will be declared by considering the performance of the candidate in the DAT Prelims and DAT Mains. Final results for the B.Des program will be announced on May 18, while for the M.Des program, final results will be announced on May 16, 2023.

In order to download the admit card online, candidates will be required to log in using their email ID and date of birth. Candidates should also note that the NID that 2023 Mains admit card is a mandatory document that every candidate needs to carry to the exam hall for appearing for the examination.

No, once a candidate pays the token fee, NID will not refund it under any circumstances. So, candidate must pay the seat acceptance or token fee if they have finalized their admission. Also, note that token fees have to be paid by candidate only if he or she has been allocated a seat. Also, if candidate fails to pay the token fees, seat allocation will be cancelled. These vacant seats will then be filled in the next counselling round.

If you find that the spelling of your name is not correct on your NID (National Identity Card) admit card, you should immediately contact the relevant authorities and inform them of the mistake. You can contact the NID office or the concerned department and explain the situation. They may ask you to provide your correct name spelling and may request you to submit an application with a photocopy of your original identity documents. The National Institute of Design will release schedule for NID DAT 2026 counseling on its admission portal soon after DAT Mains results are declared.Eligible candidates seeking admission to the B.Des program has to submit campus preferences.The 1st round of seat allotment for B.Des program will be announed around the last week of May 2026. Note that the seat allotment for the M.Des program will be announced in April 2026.The counseling process will be conducted online and include one or more seat allotment rounds.NID counseling notification will include information like the mode of the counseling, application process, fees, etc. The candidate needs to carefully go through the notification to learn about the process.
