NID DAT 2026 (Mains) exam for the B. Des programme will be held in the last week of April 2026. The timings for the DAT Mains exam will be mentioned in the NID DAT 2026 admit card. Candidates need to reach the DAT Mains exam centre as per the timings given in the admit card. 

To check your NID DAT result, follow the steps.Go to website of NIDClick on NID DAT result linkEnter the registered email address and date of birth.On successful log-in, the result of NID DAT will be displayed on the screen.Download and take a printout of the result.Note that scores of DAT Prelims 2026 exam will be used to shortlist candidates for the next round (DAT Mains).The FINAL result of NID DAT will be prepared by giving weighatge to DAT Prelims and DAT Mains.

The NID DAT 2025 admit card will carry the following like the application number, Candidate's name, Roll number, Date of birth, Name of the course applied for admission, Reporting time for exam, Date of exam, Exam duration, GATE closing time, Test center code, NID DAT test centre address, Photograph, and Signature. Additionally, it will also contain the Dos and Donts for candidates inside the exam venue. On the day of the NID DAT exam, the candidate needs to report at the exam center as per the reporting time mentioned on the admit card. Candidates arriving at the exam after the exam has commence may not be allowed entry inside the exam venue.

The NID that exam is conducted in two stages - that Prelims and that Mains. Candidates who qualify that Prelims has to next appear in that Mains. The shortlisting for that Mains is done on the basis of scores obtained by candidates in the that Prelims exam. The that Prelims scorecard, along with section-wise scores, also contains the qualifying status of the candidate. Candidates who status says "qualified" can appear in that Mains.

The NID DAT Mains 2023 exam for the B. Des programme was conducted in the following cities - Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Gandhinagar, Kolkata & Kurukshetra. The candidate was given the option to select the exam city between April 3 (4 pm) to April 5 (4 pm). The details of the exam centre, including name and address and reporting time were mentioned on the NID DAT 2023 admit card. The NID DAT 2023 (Prelims) exam was conducted in 22 cities across India. The candidate had to select their choice of exam centre at the time of filling out the NID DAT 2023 application form.

On the day of NID DAT Mains, the candidate needs to report at the exam centre on time. For instance, the Studio Test for the M.Des programme commences at 9 am, but candidates need to get registered from 8 am onward. It is therefore mandatory to report on time. The candidate must refer the NID DAT Admit card to check at what time they need to report for the Studio Test.

NID DAT Mains 2025 exam for the M.Des programme will be conducted from March 3- April 6, 2025. Meanwhile, DAT Mains for the B. Des program will be conducted from April 26- May 4, 2025. Candidates who have qualified DAT Prelims are eligible to appear in DAT Mains. The DAT Mains exam for the B. Des programme will include a Studio Test. However, the dat Mains for the M.Des course also include an interview apart from the Studio Test.The merit list of NID DAT 2025 will be prepared by giving weightage to DAT Prelims and DAT Mains.

The FINAL results for the B.Des program will be declared on May 16, 2025, while final results for the M.Des program will be announced on May 6, 2025.The merit lists will be released at the time of declaration of results. The lists will be prepared by giving weightage to DAT Prelims and DAT Mains. Also, the merit list will be considered for seat allotment.In case of B.Des candidates, candidates included in the merit list has to submit campus preferences.M.Des candidates aren't required to submit campus preferences.

Admission to the B.Des and M.Des programs at the NIDs is conducted through the NID DAT entrance exam.The exam has two sub-exams - The candidate 1st appears in DAT Prelims, and if shortlisted has to appear in DAT Mains. The final merit list for NID DAT 2025 will be prepared by giving weightage to DAT Prelims and DAT Mains.Also, if a candidate doen't appear in DAT Mains, he or she will not be considered for admission. The DAT Mains exam for the B. Des programme will include a Studio Test. Meanwhile, the DAT Mains for the M.Des programme includes a Studio Test and Interview.

The final results of NID DAT is prepared by giving weightage to DAT Prelims and DAT Mains.In case of the B.Des program, the DAT Prelims carries 40% weightage, while DAT Mains carries 60% weightage. Meanwhile for the M.Des programme, DAT Prelims carries 30% weightage, while DAT Mains carries 70% weightage. Note that DAT Mains for M.Des contains to sub-components - Studio Test and Interview.Candidates who qualify DAT Prelims has to mandatorily appear in the DAT Mains. Or else, the candidate is not considered for admission.
