The National Institute of Design will declare the final results of NID DAT 2026 for the B. Des and M.Des courses separately.Final results for the B.Des program will be announced sometime in May 2026, while final results for the M.Des program will be announced around the last week of April 2026. The final results would be prepared by giving weightage to DAT Prelims and DAT Mains.

The National Institute of Design (NID) conducted the counseling registration for NID that 2023 for the B.Des program from May 19-22, 2023. B.Des candidates who were shortlisted for counseling had to submit campus preferences as part of the registration process. The campus entry must be in the order of priority,. Also one had to enter maximum options to improve one's chances of admission. The allotment of seats to the B. Des programme was announced on May 25, and was based on the NID that 2023 merit rank and campus preference opted by the candidate. M.Des candidates were not required to submit any campus preferences, and the seat allotment is solely based on merit ranks.

The NID 2023 cutoff for admission to various participating institutes will be released at the time of counselling and seat allotment. The counseling process for the B. Des programme will commence on May 18,2 023. Meanwhile, counseling for the M.Des courses will start on May 16, 2023. The cut-off would be released by considering factors like the number of applicants, seat intake, and category. Candidates who meet the cut-off for their category in their chosen programme will get admission.

Aadhaar is one of the valid photo id proofs that candidates can produce as identity proof. But exam officials will also accept other government ids like Driving License, Passport, etc. The list of acceptable ids will be mentioned on the NID DAT 2023 admit card. The security personal at the NID DAT exam center will verify the documents before allowing the candidate entry inside the exam center. Any candidate who fails to produce the admit card and id proof will not be allowed to take the that Mains exam.

The candidate was given the option to select NID DAT 2023 exam centres from April 3 (4 pm) to April 5 (4 pm). The test centres were allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. In the case of candidates who failed to select test cities, the system automatically allocated test cities based on the availability of seats in respective test centres. The details of the test centre allocated to the candidate are mentioned in the NID DAT 2023 admit card. The NID DAT Mains 2023 Studio Test for B. Des was held on April 30, 2023.
On the day of the exam, the candidate had to report to the exam centre as per the timings mentioned in the admit card.

No, once a candidate pays the token fee, NID will not refund it under any circumstances. So, candidate must pay the seat acceptance or token fee if they have finalized their admission. Also, note that token fees have to be paid by candidate only if he or she has been allocated a seat. Also, if candidate fails to pay the token fees, seat allocation will be cancelled. These vacant seats will then be filled in the next counselling round.

The National Institute of Design conducted the DAT Mains exam separately for the B. Des and M.Des programs. The DAT Mains exam for the B. Des program was conducted on April 30, 2023. Meanwhile, DAT Mains for the M.Des program was held from March 20 onward. The DAT Mains exam for the B. Des program comprises a Studio Test that was conducted in a center-based mode. Meanwhile, the DAT Mains for the M.Des program comprises a Studio Test and Interview.
The final results of NID DAT 2023 will be declared by considering the performance of the candidate in the DAT Prelims and DAT Mains. Final results for the B.Des program will be announced on May 18, while for the M.Des program, final results will be announced on May 16, 2023.

In order to download the admit card online, candidates will be required to log in using their email ID and date of birth. Candidates should also note that the NID that 2023 Mains admit card is a mandatory document that every candidate needs to carry to the exam hall for appearing for the examination.
