MBBS - Batch of 2024

Good infrastructure and nice faculty.
Placements: Placements are usually not offered in a medical college. There is a one-year compulsory internship, after which you can either apply for further studies and appear for NEET PG or work in a government facility as an MBBS doctor. Surely, the college has its reputation in the north.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the university is quite nice. You do have a lot of facilities, including a library, free Wi-Fi in the library (not on the whole campus), and a gym. It is also attached to Marks Resort, which has a variety of food outlets. Some of the hostels have common washrooms, and others have attached ones. There is only a single provision for hot water during winter, and the rooms allotted are quite small for the number of people.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are skilled in their subjects, as they are practicing doctors and have up-to-date knowledge of the subject in most cases. You do have quite the exposure in the hospital. Regarding the exams, they surely are difficult, but the pass percentage is nice.

Really good college with adequate facilities and all kinds of campus availabilities.
Placements: 200 students are in my class. Placement in MBBS is done on the basis of PG scores, and the college only provides 1 year of internship. After MBBS, students have to give NEET PG to do specialization. If one doesn't want to do PG, they'll get around 50,000-70,000 per month if they work in any hospital.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are clean and air-conditioned with enough space for all the students, with speakers, projectors, and boards. Wi-Fi is available in the college. The library is really good, with all kinds of books available. Labs have all the equipment needed with adequate quantity, and other amenities are provided as well. The hostel has two people in a room with attached washrooms and a balcony. Water coolers are available on each floor. There is also a study room and recreational room in the hostel. Floor quality is good, and canteens are open 24 hours.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and clear all the doubts. Teaching quality is good. All the teachers are well-qualified. The course has 2 terms, one pre-prof and one post-prof every year. Hospital duty starts from the second year. Exams are of moderate level, and around 80% of the students pass each year.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to be a doctor. The campus is very big, as well as the hospital, which has 750 beds and 1200-1300 patients in OPD per day. So the clinical exposure is amazing. A Budh Mela is conducted every year in June, and a fest named Plexus is conducted every year around October. All extracurricular activities are supported, and connectivity to the campus is good since it's on the highway side and near the metro station. No scholarships are available.

MBBS - Batch of 2028

Overall, our college is nice with good exposure to our field.
Placements: We do not have any placements in MBBS. Once we complete our degree we can join any hospital or do private practice. I do not like this because we cannot get much exposure in our MBBS and do not have much knowledge about working. We have exposure to placement procedures and we can understand the criteria and demands of any place to work.
Infrastructure: We have all facilities like library, hostel accommodation, mess, and night canteen. We have sports facilities available but everything is paid for, sports club is also paid. Mess food is okay but the utensils sometimes are very dirty. The batch strength of MBBS is now 200 students which is a lot to study and maintain decorum, it should be reduced for better learning.
Faculty: Faculty members in the first year are best. Shobhit sir, Shilpi mam, and Kaushik sir are the best faculty members for anatomy. Second-year teachers are a bit hard to understand as they teach only from slides or presentations. Exams are conducted every 3 months. We have 2 terminals one pre-professional and the other professional exam is conducted after passing, by which we are promoted next year.
Other: As it's not just one college it's a whole big university with people living in it. There are all types of colleges. No doubt it is safe to walk around the campus but still, there are too many people and students from different courses. Sometimes even in library, it's a bit noisy due to many students.

MBBS - Batch of 2029

Review of Subharti Medical College, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. So far, I had a wonderful experience.
Placements: NTA conducts three rounds of counseling for private medical colleges. I get selected in the first round (marks: 630-520/720 in NEET UG). Subharti Medical College admission for students belonging to minority communities (Buddhism) (marks: 100-200/720 in NEET UG). Students get their internship in the 5th year of their course and have to work for the university hospital (Subharti Hospital, Meerut). The option to pursue a medical internship elsewhere is available in the college.
Infrastructure: The medical college is well structured, with each floor designed for students of a specific year (for example, the first floor is for first-year students, etc.). The lecture theatre can hold 200 students properly and is well-ventilated with multiple ACs. Talking about the girls’ hostel, I receive a double-seater room with a washroom, two wardrobes, an attached balcony, and a slab with a sink (to keep food and other eatables). The washroom has a geyser, mirror, and towel holders.
Faculty: The professors are very regular and rarely take leave, so the lectures are rarely free. They are very proactive and willing to clear students' doubts. We can have one-on-one interactions with them to discuss topics and doubts. The professors are very knowledgeable and experienced in their specific fields. The lectures may get monotonous over time because the preferred method of teaching is via PPTs. Professors don't share PPTs because they want you to study from books and not take shortcuts. But if required, they often share them.
Other: I am inspired by my father to pursue medicine (he is a doctor) and also because I have always had a knack for science, research, and human anatomy. These things lead me to pursue my dream at Subharti Medical College, Meerut. Some of the best things about this course are that you get to study things hands-on. It’s not just theory and cramming. It’s about getting into the field and learning how things work inside us. You get exposure to a vast spectrum of possibilities for healing others to think outside the norm and apply your knowledge.

Fantastic campus experience and academics.
Placements: The college doesn't offer on-campus placement for MBBS students. It only includes one year of compulsory internship after 4.5 years of the course. After the internship, students can apply for jobs in hospitals or clinics. A student can get a post of medical officer in a hospital after he/she has completed the course.
Infrastructure: The college has an attached hospital which has an impressive daily OPD of over 1500 patients. The college building is quite big, with 4 floors and a library. Hostels have triple-sharing rooms with a canteen. There are 2 playgrounds within the campus and a garden. Sports events usually occur at regular intervals. The annual fest is hosted by the college every year.
Faculty: The academic curriculum of the college is quite good, with experienced teachers. The teachers usually have a teaching experience of 5-20 years. They actually put effort into teaching a topic to students, which is not easily found in other colleges nearby. Semester exams are balanced, with what is taught in the class and some extra things, with a 60-70 percent passing ratio.
Other: Our batch has over 200 students. The main reason for choosing this college is the academic quality it is offering. It is far better than that in colleges nearby. Practical skill development needs improvement, which is a matter of discussion. Moreover, the academic schedule is quite tight, which could be relaxed for the students a bit to reduce stress.
