Three primary steps comprise the NIELIT Gorakhpur M.Tech programme selection process: Entrance Exam, Shortlisting, and Counselling. Admitted candidates with valid GATE scores are given preference. You can take the AKTU PG Entrance Exam offered by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow, if you don't have a GATE score.Based on the applicant's performance in the selected entrance exam (GATE, AKTU PG, or Institute Level Test), NIELIT Gorakhpur creates a merit list. The programme and available seats determine the minimal percentile needed for shortlisting.Candidates who have been shortlisted are invited to a counselling session, where they can select their top M.Tech programmes according to availability and rank.Reservation categories, programme preference, and rank are taken into consideration while allocating seats.

The NIELIT 2024 January cycle examination for O/A/B/C level was held from January 13 to January 20, 2024. The admit card for the same was released at the student portal to download. Candidates can visit the official portal, or a direct link is available on this page for downloading the admit card. Due to technical or administrative reasons, the NIELIT O/A level January cycle exam 2024 was postponed for two exam centres, namely “UPPRJ2” and "UPPRJ3." Now, the exam for such candidates is rescheduled, and was conducted on January 23 and 24, 2024.
