Nizam College Admission Process 2026
Nizam College admission is done via DOST portal, ICET (for MBA and MCA) and TG CPGET exam. The seat allotment is also done through these portals. There is no direct admission accepted at Nizam College. Students who took more than one attempt to clear Class 12, are also eligible to apply for admission.
The below part is divided into two sections. The first section is for DOST portal registration and the second one is for TG CPGET.

UG course admission process
In Nizam College, UG course admission is taken through Degree Online Services, Telangana (DOST) portal. Below are detailed steps to register for admission on this portal:
Step 1: Pre-registration
Pre-registration is for the generation of DOST-ID. This ID can be generated in three ways, namely through website, DOST-App and MeeSeva. This step also involves authenticating the user identity. Candidate must fill basic details correct, to avoid any unforeseen circumstances.
Step 2: Registration fee payment
Candidate are required to pay the fees to make their application valid for admission. The total fees to be paid is INR 425. In the total fees, INR 400 is student registration fee and INR 25 is Haritha Nidhi Fund. This extra amount is collected because it is mandatory as per government norms.
Step 3: Application and web options
After fee payment, candidates must fill the form. For form filling, candidates has to login on the official website using their login credentials. Candidates can edit, update and save the application as and when required. After application submission, candidate can access web options and proceed with the step further.
Step 4: Seat allotment and course fee payment
The seat is allocated via this portal on the basis of merit. After application of all candidates, merit list is prepared. On that basis, seat allotment is done. Candidates who are satisfied with their college, must submit the fees to secure their seat.
Step 5: Document submission in College
Candidate must report to their allotted college with all the documents and fee receipts. The college gives the seat confirmation, after verifying the documents.
PG Course Admission process
PG Course admissions are taken through TG CPGET and ICET (for MBA and MCA). CPGET is an entrance exam conducted by Kakatiya University. Below are the detailed steps to follow to take admission in PG courses (except MBA and MCA) at Nizam College through TG CPGET:
Step 1: Eligibility
Candidate must clear the qualifying examination with a valid score. Especially candidates, who have passed an examination other than BA/BSc/BCom must check the eligibility before appearing for the entrance test.
Note: Eligibility is not verified by the department at the time of application and entrance test. The only verification of eligibility is done at the time of admission only. So, candidates must check their eligibility properly before appearing for the exam.
Step 2: Registration and fee payment
For registration, candidate has to fill the basic details and pay the required fees. Candidate must pay the fees according to the number of entrance exams, he or she is planning to appear in. After registration, candidate receives Registration ID. Candidate must preserve this ID for future reference.
Step 3: Application form
Candidate must login on the official website of the university (Kakatiya University). He or she must use the login details generated while registration. After login, candidate must fill all the information with utmost care. Incorrect information or misinformation may lead to cancellation of admission. Candidates must keep a print-out of this form for future reference.
Step 4: Hall ticket
For entrance test dates and schedules, college releases hall ticket on the official website. Candidates are advised to keep checking the website at least once a week. Once hall ticket is released, students must download it and attach a passport size photograph on it.
Note: Hall ticket with no photograph is not accepted.
Step 5: Entrance test
Candidate must note down the date and time of entrance test correctly from the hall ticket. The entrance test for all subject is of 90 minutes. For all entrance tests, there are in total 100 questions. The minimum cut off for candidate other than SC/ST is 25%. There is no minimum cut off for SC/ST candidate.
Step 6: Result
The result is declared on the official university website. If any candidate is not satisfied with his/her result. He or she can raise objection. The fees, per objection is INR 200. If objection is found correct, the fees is refunded back to candidate. Candidate must download their rank card and attach a passport size photograph before saving it.
Step 7: Seat allotment and final admission
The final admission procedure is done through web-based counselling. Candidate must upload their latest certificates and documents on the official portal. Candidate who got provisional admission must pay the required fee and report to the college with all the documents.
Below are the documents required in the final stage of admission. Candidate must bring two sets of xerox copies of each document listed below:
- CET Rank Card
- CET Hall Ticket
- Transfer Certificate
- Original or Provisional Certificate
- Consolidated Memorandum of marks
- Class 10 Certificate
- Community Certificate (if applicable)
- Income certificate
Nizam College Seat Reservation Policy 2026
Nizam College offers a seat reservation policy for candidate taking admission in PG course through TG CPGET. Below are the details for seat reservation policy 2026 at Nizam College:
- 85% of available seat is reserved for local candidates and the remaining 15% are unreserved.
- Apart from this domicile reservation, 15% seats are reserved for SCs and 10% for STs.
- 33.33% seats are reserved for women.
- There is reservation of seat for NCC, widow, person with benchmark disability and, National Integration Quota

Nizam College offer MSc course with two years of duration, in different specialisations like Physics, Organic Chemistry, Bio-physics, Zoology, etc. The admission is done on the basis of TG CPGET and its counselling. The eligibility criteria involves clearing the qualifying examination with not less than 40% marks or equivalent CGPA. There is no minimum marks requirement for SC/ST candidate.
